My#artvsartist of 2021. My regrets are not drawing enough but even so I’m still happy for all the art I’ve made this year, they’re all my babies.
Any way happy new year and all my wishes for the next to come. I hope all our dreams come true and I hope we can finally see end to these weird times. Take care my loves and I’ll see you the next year ❤️

well, it’s been a year !
It’s so fun to look through this tag and see how much people look like their art ✨ I’m still not sure i do, though i’ve got to admit that ever since i was a teenager, i’ve been drawing a lot of weird little people with funky green hair :-)

art vs (camera shy!) artist
I was worried I wasn’t going to have enough art from this year to make one of these since I haven’t been doing any drawing lately because of health issues. But it turns out I actually got way more done in the first half of 2021 than I thought: I started a webcomic (that I’m dying to get back to!), made a graphic novel pitch, and did a lot of illustrations I’m really pleased with!
I can’t wait till I’m healthy enough to get back in the swing of things and start creating again! All I want for Christmas is to rediscover my art groove

“Three Fingers” by Rich Koslowski clearly affected me deeply.
Anywhoozle, figured I’d take a crack at @ohpsshaw‘s fun-lookin’ art vs artist: hand edition! The individual hands ended up fairly neatly arranged by date, new to old, from top to bottom on each picture.
I can see a certain … darling meatinessshine through, but, what do y’all think?

Some fun ones for this year’s Art vs Artist
I did this back in 2016 & it’s pretty much the same greyscale story except now my selfie color is green instead of red.
Pretty cool, though, to look back & think “hey, I finally did start making the zines & comics I wanted to make!” I’m in a much happier place with my work these days, even though making it is still (& maybe always gonna be) a struggle sometimes. I do finally feel like I have a recognizable (to me) style/voice/THING that I do - I could see the start of it in the 2016 meme, and I’ve just kept on developing it. #ink4life
Excited to see what this looks like in a few more years!
