After working on character sheets for a while and restraining myself to simple shading, it was very refreshing to use every single layer mode in one go like an absolute madman

I think I know what my characters look like until I try to draw a reference sheet for them and then … nada. IB
This was a challenge to do, but I feel like I understand how to draw Eaton Clairemont a fair bit better now. XD It was surprisingly a really good exercise! I’m doing a reference sheet for Blythe, too, so I’ll post that next week.
I was going to do one of these for each of the crew, but … nah. Nah man. Nope. X’D That was a lot of work. Until I get closer to actually DRAWING the comic as opposed to WRITING it, reference sheets of just these 2 will do for now!
I also tried used some character models for the different standing poses, too, so that was also good practice! And the weapons are really fun to draw!! I’ve been trying to decide on Eaton’s sword and ring designs for a while, so it’s nice to finally have them decided. XD

I didn’t plan on doing Inktober, but here are some little pictures I did, anyway …!! I didn’t follow any particular prompt list, I just did whatever. XD
And I’ve FINALLY learnt how to draw a ship from memory … 6-6 … From one angle, at least.

A sketch-dump of Blythe and Eaton’s collective crew. Ahhhh, goodness there’s a lot, let me try and name them … XD (in no particular order .. )
There’s Eaton, Blythe, Jin, Garin, Jess, Noa, Hazel … Uhhh, was that all?? I meant to post some pictures I drew recently of Crab, too, but I ran out of space. XD There are a couple of others that didn’t make it into the post, as well.
You might recognise some of these guys from previously, but I’ve really tried to flesh them out lately as I work more and more on the actual story script! So that’s a pretty cool development …!!

Some more pirate lore sketches!
I’ve only ever had the rough design of these two in my head, so it’s nice to see them in front of me for the first time. Really helps me envision the rest of the story if I know where it’s come from, y'know? XD
A drawing I did over on Instagram for art_question_mark’s DTIYS! I liked how this one turned out, so I figured I’d post it here, too. :D
The DTIYS was for her Royalty AU (her og post is in the last slide). It was really fun to do with all the gold and sparkling stuff - and the fancy costumes. ✨ She has some cool stuff with her OCs, so you guys should check it out!
