I promised myself to complete his redesign in time for this day but apparently school gave me sleep deprivation so I’m- tired- and on artblock-
Of course I’m going to rewrite his complete character cuz the first version of him was absolute **trash**. Same will happen for Rex so ajdndn be prepared I guess ajsjajdj
[His Voice] sounds like what you’d hear from old radio commercials. His time advertising on the radio began from a few years before the introduction of TV and lasted to the computer boom in the 80s with the Internet. Ever since, he’s been living a very chill partial retirement, he happily replays the music from Analog’s musical business [Digit.4LL] on the radio.
Castor has advertised all sorts of products and services for all kinds of companies and businesses. There isn’t really a single thing he hasn’t sold. He’ll still offer his services to any Addison willing to pay him to market their product on the radio, it gives him joy great to keep using his microphone and broadcasting gear. In his retirement, however, he’s begun a sort of radio show, letting new business Addisons come on and introduce their business and products themselves and he’ll even review them the following week of their introduction.

He hasn’t seen his son, [Spamton], in decades and hasn’t the best relationship with him either. Especially since his mother had gone which derailed Spamton’s mental and emotional state a bit, only making Spam’s attempts at marketing and advertising all the more difficult. He’s tried his best to support Spam, but Spam didn’t want his help and even cut off all communication with him after a point.
From all the ads and commercials, Castor has some idea to what became of his son, unfortunate. He has regrets for what he could have done more for his son, as well as disappointment for what had become of him and where he ended up.
If Spamton ever wanted to come back and reach out to him, he’d welcome him with open arms.. and maybe a word or two. He’s just glad to know [Spamton is still around & kicking], even after his fall from the ‘Big Shot’ title.

This past weekend, a small teaser video I made was uploaded by my good friend @itsactuallyreigh for a Deltarune AU they and I have been working on called DarkLight: Parallel Worlds, and let me tell you, the entire process of batting ideas back and forth so far has been nothing short of a thrill!
We knew early on in that we wanted DarkLight’s protagonists to feature self-inserts of ourselves (You can check out Reigh’s right here!), and I found that to be the perfect opportunity to use my fursona as my respective Deltarune self-insert as well as getting to design a Dark World variation for him, too! And after working meticulously to sprite my fursona in Deltarune’s spriting style…
I can finally show him off!!
I had Micah’s Light World design (Pictured on the left) designed long before I had even played Deltarune (Because… well, he is just my fursona), so having his base design ready when going in to sprite him in Deltarune’s style made the process very easy.
However, what I didn’t have was a clear idea on what I wanted his Dark World design to look like. There isn’t necessarily a consistent theming in terms of the Lightner’s Dark World designs; sure, I supposeKris’ armored statureandRalsei’s wizard-esque outfit kinda leans more toward a fantasy approach… but then we have Berdly, who is clearly just Falco Lombardi.
After some thinking, I had an idea— what if I were to combine design aspects of select video game characters into Micah’s Dark World design? It was an idea that seemed sound enough to work, so I began to look toward some of my favorite video game characters for influences.
Perhaps the most obvious design aspect I I took inspiration from is Micah’s shoulder cape, which some of my followers may recognize as being near-identical to Clairen’s. I can’t help the fact that the panther wife has such a cool cape, and I wanted Dark World Micah to have one, too!
Micah’s Dark World design also features a chestplate and arm gauntlets that are heavily inspired by the armor of Shovel Knight, and while it’s not exactly prevalent in sprite form, I based his boots off of the boots you see in the Mega Man franchise, namely that of Mega Man’s own!
Lastly, you might notice a very specific coloring throughout the design. If you look specifically at the scarf, chestplate and boots… his color scheme draws inspiration from the Bi flag! This was an idea that I had when beginning to outline the sprite, and I’m STILL surprised I managed to get it to look good!
And, as per most of my recent sprite posts, here is the design process I went about when spriting Micah’s Light World variant! You can see a lot of the early steps involve outlining the head, and then once the torso comes in, you can see the exact moment when I shrank everything to be appropriately sized. I was able to get him to be two pixels smaller than Susie’s sprite!
At some point later this month, I’m hoping to draw out his Dark World design so you can get a better idea of what the smaller details look like, but for now, I hope that you’ve enjoyed the spritework and insight on the design process!
School’s awful- the only thing I could’ve done in these days was doodle dump on my school diary and literally all my school notebooks and share the doodles with my buddies on Discord-
So since I caught a bad cold, I had some time to do more stuff- other than sleeping because I’m kinda feeling like shit-
Recently I joined a Sweet Cap'n Cakes Discord server and basically everyonewas drawing SCC getting plugged by the wires sjjdjsd so I had a very evil idea- like- a very evil one-
Wired!MIDI
But it’s not only that.
This is canon
Yes I’m evil. Yes I’m sorry ajdjsj
Basically the wire forcely plugged itself, pretty much destroying most of his head, cuz- y'know he didn’t had any actual holes or som for the plug. This explains the broken screen. Being wired causes MIDI to lose his memory in a way that nothing is actually new to him, he just can’t understand why or how he feels like he’s already seen the places/people he ends up into.
If that wasn’t enough, the wire drains most of MIDI’s energy and makes it really painful to talk or move a lot. Because of that he’s mostly standing very still in the same position and being almost completely non-verbal. He can only give very small responses, usually one-worded ones. I was thinking about sign language for communication, but I’m still not sure, for now I’ll stick with writing on a notebook. He can get unplugged by Ralsei casting Pacify, unless you go for Snowgrave.

This gave me the chance to rewrite a bit the relationship that MIDI has with SCC before and after getting wired. I’m just going to dump them all here under the read more so you can read whenever you’d like sudjd

Ok so basically
This will be super long and awfully written you’ve been warned ok sidjj
The idea that came to my mind was that SCC was indeed a struggling band. This is because other more modern and advanced music robots were gaining more popularity. MIDI was pretty much in a phase of “I’m not like other girls”(boys in this case lma) cuz basically he liked to explore different music genres than the more popular ones, like SCC. Sweet, between the three, was the one that was more pissed off by the thing. But like- really pissed off. I mostly see Sweet as the oldest, but since they let themselves get dragged away by their emotions, they end up experiencing said emotions in a more amplified way, maybe even exaggerated. They felt like MIDI was “stealing their spotlight”. Cap'n was pissed off too, but not that much. K_K, on the other hand, didn’t really care about getting angry at any other robot being more popular than them.
Of course MIDI caught the attention of Queen in no time because no one could deny that he was pretty skilled. Queen so invites MIDI at the palace to make him her new musician, although without telling him the existence of SCC. When MIDI finds it out, he’s super pissed, he’s a nice guy after all, he didn’t want to steal anyone’s job. So, all that stuff from my recent fic happens. If you didn’t see it yet, it’s on my first post about MIDI. But basically, MIDI got slightly interested into K_K, and decides to improvise being the hero and save SCC to gain their trust, and maybe be able to know the trio, but specifically K_K, a bit more.
Sweet and Cap'n are quite concerned of MIDI’s behavior with K_K, because in fact, they both are in a polycule with K_K. Sweet could try to be nice to not just- straight up be rude to the guy who just saved them- but they just can’t. They lose their temper, also because they’re convinced that MIDI has some sort of plans going on etc etc. Cap'n is on Sweet’s side, but of course he tries to calm them down, also because they surely brought MIDI into a panic attack. MIDI didn’t know about the trio being in a relationship and he felt so fucking bad for trying to sneak in out of nowhere, invading their personal space.
Cap'n then had an idea. If K_K was also interested in MIDI, they would’ve talked it out. MIDI just acts normally until K_K actually starts getting slightly closer to him, of course without ignoring their bfs. MIDI is nervous to start talking about the polycule topic, so he waits for K_K to do it themselves, which doesn’t take long at all. Sweet and Cap'n want K_K to be happy, and if they were happy with hanging out with MIDI too, it was ok for them to enlarge the polycule a little bit.
So, MIDI and K_K start slowly getting into a relationship, altho this was- sorta hampered by Sweet still being way too overprotective. Despite that, MIDI kept hanging out with Sweet and Cap'n too, also because it would’ve been pretty much an asshole-move if he didn’t. He genuinely liked to hang out with them as best homies.
Seeing how nice MIDI actually was despite Sweet continuing to be passive-aggressive towards him, Cap'n slowly changed his mind on what he thought about MIDI. Maybe he even started to get slightly interested in him.
One day, Sweet send MIDI away to get some scrap parts for them, just to stop Cap'n from flirting with him. On the way home, MIDI suddenly gets attacked by the wires and ends up getting plugged by one of them.
Not being able to remember anything, MIDI was tired and constantly in pain. SCC are hugely worried about him, and try everything to let him out of the control of the wire. Seeing MIDI like that, Sweet felt horrendously awful for being that shitty with him. Moreover they blame themselves more than everyone, as if they didn’t send MIDI out because of their stubbornness, maybe he wouldn’t have been plugged by the wire.
But of course I wanted to end it in a good way. If you don’t end up doing Snowgrave, SCC will go ask for help to Ralsei, who will cast Pacify on MIDI, unplugging the wire. After he gets repaired he magically manifests pupils because I say so skdk but also gets his memory back. Sweet won’t stop apologizing for quite a long time, as they still think it’s their fault. MIDI would eventually explain to Sweet that it’s not their fault at all and that he understands that he got so overprotective. Plus, MIDI actually admires Sweet’s determination in wanting to protect who they love.
Sweet and MIDI won’t be going any step further from “friends/homies”, while with Cap'n and K_K, MIDI will establish a proper relationship. This being more in a romantic way for K_K’s case.

New entry
It was sort of a special day at the Queen’s Mansion. The Swatchlings announced the arrival of a special guest, a very special one, requested by the Queen herself. It doesn’t happen every day to receive a royal invitation!
As the doors opened, a curious fella walked in, he was what seemed to be an MP3 player, with 90s aesthetic clothing.
[Queen]“Ohohohoh! Here comes the boy! What was your name again?”
[MIDI]“The name’s MIDI m'lady! Heard ya wanted me to pay a visit for- somethin’- still dunno what kind of somethin’-”
[Queen]“I’ll tell you immediately. Swatch! Have you got those three already darling?”
[Swatch]“Of course my Queen”
Swatch then bowed, introducing the entrance of three little happy dudes. The first one looked like a teeny tiny speaker, with a small cap and a single yellow eye. The second one was a little shorter than the first. They seemed to be a some kind of boombox, with fancy, round sunglasses, a cap worn backwards and a blue hoodie.
Last but not least…
MIDI gasped a little at the sight of the third. They were really tall, maybe taller than the other two put together. Their body was formed by two boomboxes put together. One was the chest, white, with two big speakers. The other one was the head, green, with two big black eyes and tiny yellow pupils instead of the other two speakers. Their pants were also green. While the little dudes were noisy, jamming over their own music, the third was, instead, really chill, but still cheerful and supportive towards the other two. They had something… “special”, but MIDI didn’t know what that meant…
The little speaker was the first to notice MIDI standing there and exclaimed “Yo! Who’s that fancy guy over there!” The other two started staring curiously at the “fancy guy” as the Queen cleared her throat with a sip of battery acid to respond to the question.
[Queen]“Sweet, Cap'n, K_K, I present you…”
“Your replacement!”
Everyone was shocked, especially MIDI, who immediately opposed.
[MIDI]“Ayo what!? I didn’t know any of this! I didn’t know you already had musicians!”
[Queen]“Ohohoho! Because I don’t! At least since now. These little WALL-E ripoffs will now be imprisoned and you’ll be my musician as we stated yesterday! Isn’t it wonderful?”
[MIDI]“What!? Wonderful!? Of course not! I ain’t goin’ to steal someone else’s job!”
[Sweet]“Hah yeah! Plus, we sure have better beats than tha–”
[Queen]“Sweet. Honey. Darling. Shut up ^v^”
The Queen then made a smooth, royal gesture, as an OK to the Swatchlings to take the three to bring them in their cell. As those huge guards approached the three, Sweet and Cap'n immediately ran behind K_K.
[Cap'n]“H-Hey! Come on! There must be another way!”
[Sweet]“Yeah! W-We can do better! Give us another chance!”
No response from the Queen. The Swatchlings tried to grab Sweet and Cap'n, but K_K quickly put themselves on the way to prevent it.
[K_K]“D-Don’t come any clos–”!!!
They didn’t even let them finish, that a Swatchling lifts them up and squeeze them hard to block them.
[K_K]“OW! Put me down!”
[MIDI]“HEY! STOP!”
MIDI went to the rescue, attacking the Swatchling until he dropped K_K. MIDI ran to catch them and held them close to him to protect them. He then turned to the Queen defiantly.
[Queen]“MIDI! Sweetie. Honey. Darling. Why be so disobedient!”
[MIDI]“If going on your side means hurting these fellas then I’m sorry…”
He then held K_K closer. For some reason. K_K is highly confused, and embarrassed, but safe.. they don’t seem to dislike it at all…
[MIDI]“…I won’t take the deal”
[ * MIDI casts SOUND EQUALIZER!]
[ * The enemies are now blocked by 4 huge sounds equalizer walls. For how long? I don’t fucking know ]
MIDI held K_K’s hand for some reason and started running out of the Mansion, heading to the Thrash Zone.
[Sweet]“Hey! Wait for us!”
[Cap'n]“Yeah! What’s all this runnin’ all of a sudden! I wasn’t ready!”
Once arrived to a safe place, the four could finally stop and metaphorically breathe a big sigh of relief.
[MIDI]“Woah- that was a pretty crazy run wasn’t it? Never ran so fast in my life!”
[Sweet]“Yeah but you still could’ve ran slower! I couldn’t even catch you!”
[Cap'n]“Sucks to have short legs, doesn’t it?”
[Sweet]“Hey!”
And so the two started fighting- Still no response from K_K, who was just staring at their hand still squeezing MIDI’s. When MIDI noticed, he gently let go, embarrassed.
[MIDI]“A- Sorry that was embarrassing- I’m MIDI by the way, couldn’t have the chance to introduce myself properly. And- Uhm- you are?”
[K_K]“K_K! It’s the short for Cakes”
[MIDI]“K_K…”
[K_K]“Yup?”
[MIDI]“Oh nono- nothin’ I was just- being sure I understood it right- I-I don’t want to forget it- Memory plays tricks most of the time if y'know what I mean! Hahah-…”
MIDI shyly nudges K_K’s shoulder then stops, even more embarrassed than before. “Damn what the fuck were you thinking MIDI! That punchline was terrible!” He thought.
K_K exploded in a joyful laughter right after, which brought a smile on MIDI’s face. It was… simply adorable…
[K_K]“You’re so silly! You should come with us!”
Sweet and Cap'n stopped fighting as soon as they heard K_K’s words.
[Sweet]“Him!?With us?”
[Cap'n]“Wasn’t he tryin’ to steal our job or somethin’ a few minutes ago?”
[MIDI]“Oh nono! I never wanted to! I would never! Plus, y'all seem like a nice gang!
K_K clapped their hands happy and stared at Sweet with big puppy eyes waiting for a confirm.
[Sweet]"Oh well, if you put it like thatthen,welcome to the good side!”
