This giant crater in the Arizona desert is creatively named Meteor Crater. It is 1200 metres wide and around 170 metres deep. 50,000 years ago this 40 metre wide asteroid struck what would have been a damp grassland with ten times the speed of a bullet.

Truth.
This piece is about fake news and double standards that surround us with people lies. Poppis are a symbol of peace and here they hide a gun. Human hands ends with an explosion and smoke that symbolises all wars and conflicts where people die.

Lyons’s practice explores the fragility of friendship and adventure through performances documented by photography and film. He creates ingenious and mischievous devices which are presented – having fulfilled their one purpose – as relics of the event, together with the photographic evidence. The photographs, however, are not simply documentation of a sequence of anarchic events. They fix the moment between ’cause’ and ‘effect’ and are imbued with wit, melancholy and the physical humour of early silent cinema. In this process Lyons attempts to reconcile the enthusiasm of reckless youth with the pressures of adulthood; these are snap-shots of ‘Lost Boys’ putting outlandish ideas into practice and (just) getting away with it.

Jusqu’à 300 000 personnes à la rue et 3 à 5 milliards de dollars de dégâts, selon le gouverneur de Beyrouth.
Au lendemain de la double explosion qui a secoué la capitale libanaise, les secouristes tentent de retrouver des victimes au milieu des immeubles éventrés et des décombres. Pour l’heure, on compte plus de 100 morts et des milliers de blessé·e·s.
Selon le gouvernement, c’est l’explosion d’un stock non sécurisé de 2750 tonnes de nitrate d’ammonium qui a soufflé plusieurs quartiers de la ville, provoquant des dégâts sans précédent.
Pour rappel, cette substance était responsable de l’explosion de l’usine AZF à Toulouse en 2001.
