Experimenting with forms of openness by focusing on collectively shared experiences, Chicago-based new media/glitch artist jonCates identifies the inextricable tangle of humans, their many systems, and the many systems they reside within. Making Noise Art && Musics across broken boundaries of the Unstable Arts now known as Glitch Art, from the 1990s until today, jonCates continues to illuminate what it is to be human in techno-social culture. In 2005 he created the concept of Dirty New Media Art AKA d1Ɍ+y̶ ̶N̶3WWW_M3DI∆. then in 2012 he crafted the concept of the #postglitch. His most recent projects include his Glitch Western feature film, 鬼鎮 (Ghosttown), premiering in late 2018. jonCates teaches, as an Associate Professor, at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in the departments of Film, Video, New Media and Animation (FVNMA) and Art History, Theory and Criticism.

Jack Stauber //
is a multi-media video artist/muscian living is Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Deliberately smashing together all forms of animation with a good smear of MS Paint, Stauber designs nonsensical, heavily layered videos. Often the videos are paired with music he’s written that reflects the same type of absurdism, creating emotional jingles meant to be carried and put on replay.

is a digital artist born in Moscow, Russia and currently based in Paris, France. Her work questions the relationship we have with our devices and their physical interfaces and transforms current technological issues into digital and physical artworks that are interactive, educational, and often ironic and entertaining. She is the founder of Center for Technological Pain, a center dedicated to eradicating health problems that arise from interactions with various technological devices.

Widely appreciated for his sonification finesse, he now creates multi-layered composition involving everything that the glitch art community has to share.

Sabato Visconti //
is a Brazilian multimedia artist currently based in Western Massachusetts.
His work finds itself in the intersection between emerging media environments, internet culture, and professional digital production. He began experimenting with glitch processes in 2011 with the help of Cristina Isabel Rivera’s defective memory card that randomly wrote zeroes on JPEG files. His first data-bending experiments lead him to online glitch art communities, where he learned techniques and approaches to push the boundaries of photography and video.
