thinking about how tender it is to wear the clothes of a loved one… clothes are a part of how we construct and understand ourselves so to give someone your clothes is literally to give them a bit of yourself… you are giving that person a bit of your home, of a place you lived in and inviting them in…you’re trusting them with the soft parts of your body, with your sweat and smell and tiny manifestations of aliveness…. what a lovely thing
Falling out of touch with all my
Friends are somewhere, getting wasted
Hope they’re staying glued together
I have arms for them
Get inside their clothes with my green gloves
Watch their videos in their chairs
Get inside their beds with my green gloves
Get inside their heads, love their loves
Now I hardly know them
But I’ll take my time
I’ll carry them over
And I’ll make them mine
