#home alone
I’m thinking of doing a bunch of streaming next weekend (the 23rd-25th or so) to try and help carry those of us who aren’t doing anything for the holiday or those who need escape from family through what can be a trying time. I’m on the hunt for suggestions for things that are more or less thematic but offbeat. Some current thoughts include:
- Krampus
- Star Wars Holiday Special
- Doctor Who Christmas Specials
- Nightmare Before Christmas
- Gremlins
- The Grinch
- Hogfather
- Die Hard
- Batman Returns
- Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
- A Christmas Horror Story
I’m waffling on Home Alone since we’ve watched it semi-recently (and I suspect that viewing it with this group might ruin some people’s enjoyment of the experience given the fact that last time we watched it the conversation devolved into a long discussion of the disturbing signs suggesting symptoms of more widespread neglect than immediately apparent based on the main thematic elements).
Anything we should add to the list?
Oh, that’ll be nice! I’ll be home with my folks so I probably won’t be able to stream at all, but I’ll try to reblog if I’m tagged!
Does anyone have a recap of this Home Alonedeconstruction?
