It’s been a while since my last post… i haven’t been lazy but i had a lot of stuff going on…
I thought i could use the winter to send some nice boulders outdoors but the weather is very bad this winter and i didn’t had more than four or five outdoor sessions since november … also sometimes caused by bad timing. But every bad weatherperiod has an end. And when it does, i hopefully will be ready to crush!
My next post will be the first part from the video of my time in chironico last octobre so stay tuned!

Throwback to octobre when life was the easiest it can be…
EAT, CLIMB, SLEEP, REPEAT. for a full month. The pandemic still affects our lifes and that’s a bitter pill to take for many of us but we need to make the best out of it and enjoy even more those moments where we feel in total freedom. So happy that after all, i had a good climbingtrip and i hope next year has a lot to offer!

I’m very happy that i climbed this beauty at the end of my trip. I didn’t try something harder on this trip as i thought i wouldn’t succed because of my fingerinjuries and physical weakness this trip but i decided to use the last few climbing days to try this one and i succeeded.
Now i’m back home and i hope that i’ll be able to train soon again… my finger still isn’t ready for training so i have to stay a little more patient… The psych is high!

I’m realy enjoying my time here in Ticino.
Even if i noticed how much strength and bodytension i lost this year due to all the time off that i had to take from climbing because of all the fingerinjuries i had.
Anyway i could already climb some true gems like this one ⬆️ called “ElectroBoogie” fb.8a+ in MagicWood (not in ticino).
I still try to find the right balance between restdays, climbingdays and not pulling to hard on my fingers, especially my skin on the fingers was quite bad during this trip (and still is).
I hope to get more gems done in this beautiful area

Some videos from yesterday’s session.
Did the 2nd ascent(as far as i know) of “The Witness” FA by @climb_to_heaven proposed as 8a. This boulder is mainly about body-position and deadpoint-skills. I wasn’t sure about the grade as i did quite well on the boulder (even tho it’s quite reachy)
and it didn’t feel like 8a compared to the other 7c, 7c+ and 8a’s on the crag…Anyway i realy enjoyed to climb on this gem would love more boulders like this Later i did a little First Ascent of a boulder that i brushed longer time ago but never made it back to this one. It’s quite short and morpho but a lot of fun if you like prows.

Last saturday i was able to send “Nikita” 8c at my homecrag. This route has always been something mythical to me as it’s the hardest route in Berdorf and doesn’t has so many repeats. The route has been bolted by Jacques Welter in 1992 and it took 20 years before the german climber Simon Plum was able to do the first ascent. Since then the route got a few more repeats from climbers like Jonas Winter ,Luis Gerhardt and Jan Hojer (and some more). I started trying this route last year but couldn’t finish it before the seasons end and i didn’t try during the whole winter. This year i only tried it a few times before i did the send! Giving it the first Lux. ascent and with it ,becoming the first climber from Lux. to climb this grade!
I’m gratefull that i could share this moment with some of my friends at the crag and for all the support that i got from my friends and sponsors! Thank you guys!

Realy enjoyed the moves in “Isatis” and “la part de l'autre” which have been my highlights last week. The main crux of both routes is the slab for the last 7 meters. The pics show me on the good rest just before the slab-part and doing the first move to enter the crux by pulling on a very nice mono-pocket… after this move you have to pull and stand on some very small crimps and feet ,quite similar to Fontainebleau.

I haven’t been so much on social media lately but that doesn’t mean i wasn’t active. I went to the franconian forest for a short trip at the begining of this year and did some nice medium-hard problems but couldn’t finish my little project as i got two big flappers and the tophold was completely frozen.
I did this little edit of just a few boulders that i climbed.

Tb to last autumn when i climbed “Remoise” a route which doesn’t gets many repeats due to a hard boulder-crux on the start.
I can’t train since over a month as i have a little finger injury
I hope that it recovers fast enough and that i didn’t lose to much strength so i can still achieve my goals for this year.

This one is from two weeks ago in the franconian forest. I’ve spent a week of bouldering in this area which is actually known for mostly short and powerfull sportclimbing . I’ll get back there next year to do some sportclimbing again, this time it was just to cold to keep my toes warm for more than two minutes

Throwback to the time where i could climb a lot outside… i wasn’t very active on Insta or on rockclimbing as the weather doesn’t seems to care about climbers , i was rarely climbing outside after my trip to #magicwood in summer and it still seems like the weather isn’t going to change… so i’ve been spending some time to find some unclimbed boulders to clean and maybe climb them one day…Until then i have to stay patient and try to keep my body healthy.
