Love is a lie, we’re all empty inside.

For years, I adored you
For years, I loved you
I even worshiped you and your smile
Your wit and intelligence…
Yet you killed us
With your cold and callous returns
I pleaded and begged
Held on so tightly
My nails bled red
But you continued whispering lies
Into my ears and mind
All the while
You massacred my heart

And now I sit here
Staring into your eyes
As they return my gaze filled with your lies
And your lips form the word ‘Love’
But your actions speak of other things
And I feel ruined
I feel lost
I cannot believe this lie any longer
I cannot believe in ‘Love’
