Space cave explorer for February’s SimpleCG challenge! Since one of the prompts this month was Animal Crossing I simply had to participate.
This time I decided to play around with Substance Painter and Unity to try out how PBR could be used for really simplified models and texturing styles. I did not have enough time to try out everything I would have liked, but I still think this workflow looks promising!

A low-ish poly hand-painted modular tree asset. Made it a while ago, but I’m still happy with it. Not my first attempt at making a tree in 3D, but the first where I put in real effort. It was supposed to be kind of throwaway but I just enjoyed the process, especially painting the texture.
