The time to apply is finally here! Please PLEASE read the guidelines provided IN the applications. They will tell you what you need to know. If you don’t understand or still have questions don’t be afraid to ask but only do so after you’ve read the guidelines.
For our ease we’ve separated everything into three forms so we know who is applying for what. Feel free to apply to all three if you’d like.
Apps will be open from OCTOBER 1ST, 2018 to NOVEMBER 2ND, 2018. We’ve decided to leave it open for this long to due Inktober/ the holidays and know people might have other priorities that prevent them from applying sooner.
Rejection/ Acceptance emails will be sent out through the week of NOVEMBER 18TH-24TH 2018. This is listed in the forms and FAQ so if you forget please check one of those.
We received a couple of common questions so i’ve decided to make a blog post. Our original faq is located better on the desktop website so i’ve decided to make blog posts as well for better convenience. Please take a look before sending us an ask! Thanks!

Would the zine have stretch goals?
Yes. Not sure of the goals as of now but we will have some!
When do artist/writer apps come out?
Artist and Writer Applications will open OCT 1ST 2018
Is the zine going to be Marvel characters in the BnHA Universe or BnHA in Marvel?
Both! Characters from both universes will be interacting with each other so it could be either one you want. Overall the idea is flexible as long as you have character interactions.
Can international contributors apply?
OF COURSE! Deadlines will be in PST time zone though so please be aware
Will contributors be asked to put money into this zine?
Nope!
When do MOD acceptance emails go out?
SEPT. 30TH. We will NOT be sending out rejection emails. I apologize but we’re only 2 mods at the moment and we both have busy schedules.
Where will you be selling your zine?
As of right now it’s undecided due to the PayPal issue but we will look into it once we’ve had all mods together.
Do contributors get a free copy of the zine/bundle?
As of right now all contributors (mods, artists, writers,) will get a free copy of the DIGITAL zine. We have not decided on physical zines/merch as of yet. Will probably discuss after we have decided artists/writers.
Do artists need a portfolio to enter or can we choose certain drawings and send them?
You don’t NEED to have a portfolio but it would be helpful to have one just so they’re all in one place. We’ll probably just have you submit 3-5 works you think are the best. We prefer if you had all your best artworks in a drive link or website out all together so we dont get spammed with other links. We cannot stress enough how we want COMPLETED artworks please. These zines will require a full blown page filled with a background. PLEASE NO NSFW.
We are also looking for basic knowledge in DIGITAL art since we will NOT be having any traditional pieces in this zine.
Do I need to include MHA/MC art/writer pieces in my portfolios?
NOPE. Even if you’ve never drawn them in your life, we only want to see your finished works that you’re proud of. Just please don’t include your NSFW work.
What are you looking in an artist/writer?
Creativity. How creative can you get with these characters. We aren’t looking for anything perfect we’re looking for style, originality, fun art and writing with basic art/writing skills. We aren’t looking for popularity or how many followers but how much fun you can have in a piece.
Will there be collab options available for Artists/Writers.
YES! We are actually hoping to have at least 5 collabs in this zine!
So if you have NO IDEA what kind of piece you want to draw then perfect! You might want to try and collab. Not having an idea for a piece will NOT lower your chances of being accepted!
Would it be for profit?
Yes we would like it to be for profit.
Will the zine be digital?
Yes the zine will be available for purchase in PDF format.
How many contributors will you have participate?
As of right now we’re unsure. Depending on the amount of people we hope we can get 30-35 artists and 5-10 writers. Depends on the number of people who participate. Least we will have is 20 total.
Will this zine include shipping/romance/NSFW?
No! There is NO SHIPPING in this zine as most of the BNHA characters are students. Also absolutely NO NSFW.
Can we put other than BNHA or MC in our art works?
Unfortunately not, we intend to keep the theme of BNHA/MC.
Do I need a paypal?
Unfortunately yes a paypal is a must for wanting to get paid for this zine. If you want to opt out of payment please let us know so we can update it in your applications
Alliance is the title of our zine and also our main idea for this zine. In this zine Heroes, Non-Heroes, General Characters, and even villains from both the Marvel ComicsandMy Hero Academia, can join forces to defeat anything in their path together.
There is no specific way on how these characters joined forces or joined each other’s worlds so long as the characters from both these worlds interact with each other.
In this zine we hope to bring together ALL characters from both these worlds and see where they collide or collaborate. It’s an open book for all so as long as we see artists and writers get really creative with this concept. Other than that it’s a free for all!
Currently we only have Tumblr open for this zine but if you think using other platforms such as Twitter or Instagram would help this zine please let us know!

Alliance Zine: A Marvel and BNHA crossover zine. A lovely mashup of your favorite characters from these two different superhero worlds coming together to fight crime, deliver witty banter, or even share some dinner while studying for the next day’s exam.
