Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh (also known as Drake & Josh: Best Christmas Ever) is a television movie based on the Nickelodeon sitcom Drake & Josh.Drake Bell, Josh Peck, Miranda Cosgrove, Nancy Sullivan, and Jonathan Goldstein reappear as their respective characters, with several recurring characters from the TV series also reappearing.

The film premiered on December 5, 2008, as a Nickelodeon Original Movie. It was the third most viewed TV movie on cable behind High School Musical 2 and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, both owned by Disney Channel.

Diva Starz was a series of fashion dolls created and released by Mattel during the Christmas shopping season of 2000.They are similar in design to the MGA Entertainment Bratz dolls released in 2001, and the Flavas dolls released by Mattel in 2003. Four dolls (Alexa, Tia, Summer, and Nikki) were offered in the original debut. The line was discontinued in 2004.

Self-Made Man: My Year Disguised as a Man is a 2006 book written by journalist Norah Vincent, recounting an 18-month experiment in which she disguised herself as a man—"Ned"—and then integrated into traditionally male-only venues, such as a bowling league, a monastery, and a men’s support group. She also described her experiences as a man in the workplace, in strip clubs, and on dates with women.

In order to effectively pose as a male, Vincent acquired a buzz cut and flattened her chest using a sports bra. She also hired a makeup artist to fake a five o'clock shadow and trained for months to imitate a deeper male voice.

Near the end of the experiment, Norah Vincent had a mental breakdown, and had to check herself into an institution for depression.

TheUnited States presidential election of 2000 was the 54th quadrennial presidential election. It was held on Tuesday, November 7, 2000. The contest was mainly between Republican candidate George W. Bush and Democratic candidate Al Gore. 

The final outcome was one of the closest presidential elections in the nation’s history. The result of the election hinged on Florida, where the margin of victory triggered a mandatory recount. Ultimately, the United States Supreme Court’s 5–4 decision in Bush v. Gore, announced on December 12, 2000, ended the recounts, effectively awarding Florida’s votes to Bush and granting him the victory.

Indigo children, according to a pseudoscientific New Age concept, are children who are believed to possess special, unusual, and sometimes supernatural traits or abilities. They are sometimes also referred to as crystal children orstar children. 

The concept of indigo children gained popular interest with the publication of a series of books in the late 1990s and the release of several films in the 2000s. According to experts, indigo children’s nature and abilities range from their being the next stage in human evolution, in some cases possessing paranormal abilities such as telepathy, to the belief that they are more empathetic and creative than their peers.

Spirited Away (Japanese: 千と千尋の神隠し) is a 2001 Japanese animefantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. The film tells the story of Chihiro Ogino, a sullen ten-year-old girl who, while moving to a new neighborhood, enters a spirit world. After her parents are transformed into pigs by the witch Yubaba, Chihiro takes a job working in Yubaba’s bathhouse to find a way to free herself and her parents and return to the human world.

The film was released on 20 July 2001, and became the most successful film in Japanese history, grossing about $289 million worldwide and receiving widespread critical acclaim.

Chopsticks is a hand game for two players, in which players extend a number of fingers from each hand and transfer those scores by taking turns to tap one hand against another. The game is found to be especially popular among children, and was spread in part due to the invention of the Internet.

Codename: Kids Next Door, commonly abbreviated to Kids Next DoororKND, is an Americananimated television series created by Tom Warburton for Cartoon Network. The series centers on the adventures of five children who operate from a high-tech tree house, fighting against adult villains with advanced 2×4 technology. Using their codenames (Numbuh 1, Numbuh 2, Numbuh 3, Numbuh 4 and Numbuh 5), they are Sector V, part of a global organization called the Kids Next Door.

The series came about as the result of a viewer’s poll by Cartoon Network. It ran from 2002 to 2008, with six seasons and 78 episodes. It also had two television films, Operation: Z.E.R.O., aired in 2006, and the series finale Operation: I.N.T.E.R.V.I.E.W.S., aired in 2008.

Their most notable works include a series of Prank Gone Wrong found-footage videos and a collection of Choose Your Own Adventure style films known as Chad, Matt & Rob’s Interactive Adventures.

Trance is a genre of electronic music that emerged during the early 1990s and carried in popularity into the mid-2000s. Although it is a genre of its own, trance liberally incorporates influences from other musical styles such as techno, house, pop, chill-out, classical music, tech house, ambient, and film music. Vocals are also a common feature, typically performed by mezzo-soprano to soprano female soloists.

Trance was arguably at its commercial peak in the second part of 1990s and early 2000s.

Generally, the games in the series taught language arts, featuring a variety of simple games designed to teach schoolchildren basic reading and spelling skills. This later expanded to include math and writing.

Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California. Formed in 1996, the band rose to international fame with their debut album Hybrid Theory (2000). Their following studio album Meteora continued the band’s success, topping the Billboard 200 album chart in 2003, and was followed by extensive touring and charity work around the world.

In 2003, MTV2 named Linkin Park the sixth-greatest band of the music video era and the third-best of the new millennium. Billboard ranked Linkin Park No. 19 on the Best Artists of the Decade chart. In 2012, the band was voted as the greatest artist of the 2000s in a Bracket Madness poll on VH1. 

Linkin Park has sold over 70 million albums worldwide and has won two Grammy Awards.

Red Eyeis a 2005 American thriller film directed by Wes Craven and written by Carl Ellsworth, based on a story by Ellsworth and Dan Foos. The film follows a hotel manager (Rachel McAdams) ensnared in an assassination plot by a terrorist (Cillian Murphy) while aboard a red-eye flight to Miami. 

The film received positive reviews from critics and fans of Craven’s work and was a box office success.

TheNokia 3310 is a GSM mobile phone announced on September 1, 2000. The phone sold extremely well, being one of the most successful phones with 126 million units sold worldwide. The phone is still widely acclaimed today, and has gained a cult status due to its durability.

On 14 February 2017, it was reported that a modernised version of the 3310 would be unveiled at the 2017 Mobile World Congress by HMD Global Oy.

French Toast Crunchis a breakfast cereal launched in 1995 naturally flavored to taste like French toast, by the General Mills company. The cereal pieces originally looked like mini slices of French toast.

In 2006, General Mills discontinued French Toast Crunch in the United States. Popular demand led General Mills to reintroduce the product on December 5, 2014.

Survivor is the third studio album by American girl group Destiny’s Child released on May 1, 2001 in the United States. The album involved production by lead singer Beyoncé Knowles and J.R. Rotem, in which five singles were released: “Independent Women”, “Survivor”, “Bootylicious”, a cover of The Bee Gees’ “Emotion”, and “Nasty Girl”.

In the US, the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and stayed at number one for two consecutive weeks. It later went on to sell more than 10 million copies worldwide, including over 4.7 million in the United States alone.
