Some of my friends thought having a cop for a dad would totally suck. But when he’d come pick me up from practice in his cruiser, all squared away in his uniform, eyeing me up and down in mine from behind his glasses with that certain smile of his, well, let’s just say my buddies had no idea just how good having a cop dad could be.

cops on Queer Eye:

  • are openly tr*mp supporters with a MAGA hat that they let the fab 5 find
  • their idea of a prank is pulling over a gay black man for no reason and scaring him into thinking he’s about to be brutalized by the police or even killed with his friends clearly expressing their concern for him to even get out of the car when the cop asked
  • when Karamo tries to tell them that it wasn’t funny to try that kind of joke in the current political climate the cop tries to switch it to a “but not all cops are bad cops and we get discriminated against too” conversation

firefighters on Queer Eye:

  • try to raise money with a community fundraiser to properly train other firefighters
  • let the fab 5 hose them down in wet t-shirt contest
  • let Jonathan give them a little spa day with foot soaking and face masks
  • take dance classes for said fundraiser and even willingly learn a couple Magic Mike dance moves
  • their idea of a prank is to startle Tan with an exploding pen
  • the hot white one let’s Karamo crush all over him and call him Superman the whole time without any hesitation

Remember there’s a reason no one ever says “Fuck the firefighters!”

I mean they do it’s just usually prefaced with “Can I please”

Hit him so HARD his ass shit out a question mark (?)like “who the fuck hit me?”

If you have a problem with “thugs looting”, this should be your priority.

January 18, 2022 story on reason.com

From the article:

“Five times since last May, sheriff’s deputies in Kansas and California have stopped armored cars operated by Empyreal Logistics…seizing a total of $1.2 million, but did not issue any citations or file any criminal charges, which are not necessary to confiscate property through civil forfeiture. That process allows police to pad their budgets by seizing assets they allege are connected to criminal activity, even when the owner is never charged, let alone convicted.”

The police are legitimately the biggest gang in the country.

The visible body text reads: “The Institute for Justice argues that the seizures violated state law, federal law, and the U.S. Constitution.” /id]

Bad things are happening in the UK. I made a video about the situation and how to fight against it.

Essentially, the government is trying to push through a bill that will effectively ban all protest. This is a human rights violation, although they insist that it’s not.

You could get a prison sentence of up to 10 years for any protest-related action that the Home Secretary Priti Patel deems “impactful” or “causing serious annoyance”, such as sitting in a road, spray-painting a monument or making too much noise.

Furthermore, the proposed bill gives the Home Secretary the power to amend the law afterwards without parliamentary approval. This gives her unprecedented control over any and all protest and is dangerous for democracy.

In this video I discuss the bill, why it is so sinister and how we can fight against it. If you found this video helpful, please share it with others and encourage them to act! Share with your UK friends!

I’ve made a list of resources you can use, including MP email templates. I will be updating it with new info as the situation changes.

As of now (March 16th 2021, 22:38), the bill has passed its Second Reading, meaning that it will now be scrutinised and amendments will be proposed. If you are in the UK, write to your MP and ask them to either propose amendments that will scrap the anti-protest elements of this bill, or support specific amendments, such as this one by MP Bell Robeiro-Addy. Also, sign Netpol’s petiton asking UK to protect protest rights.

Please spread this information. The Conservative party wants to turn the UK into a police state where only their opinions are heard. We cannot allow them to get away with this.

For eveyone griping about looting, here are some alternative things to get mad about!

1.) if we are mad at looting then we should return every single artifact and curio in our museums that we have looted from other countries.

2.) Maybe we should start arresting and prosecuting the assholes who buy diapers and sanitizer in bulk to illegally resell at an insane cost while poor families who actually need those items can’t get any because of it.

3.) You should be mad at the double standard of how police treat different protests. Armed “protesters”were allowed to enter a government building WITH THEIR GUNS to politically intimidate, threaten & terrorize politicians who wanted to protect the community with the quarantine. Some even physical pushing police in riot gear but the police did not react and instead protected them. But protesters who seek justice and accountability for a black man brutally murdered by a police officer get beaten, shot at, pepper sprayed and tear gassed.

4.) the more radical protesters who have been causing property damage WHO DO NOT represent the majority of peaceful protestors are going to be grouped as a whole by the right wing to excuse the police brutality against the regular law abiding protestors and black people.

5.) And finally and most importantly, the four fired officers each have a prior history of police brutality that was swept under the rug and ignored STILL have not been charged with MURDERING the unarmed, handcuffed and helpless George Floyd. Everyone SHOULD be irate at THAT!

“All cops are evil”…. right? This actually reminds me of my department. We had an

….so it’s okay for cops to do this??

and y’all WONDER why people are rioting. because it’s “ok” for officers to do this. they were pretty peaceful until the police acted maliciously. they were throwing some things (at cars, the cops weren’t in danger), but does that give officers the right to run them over? the answer should be NO. if your answer was yes, your values are pathetic. you are exactly what is wrong with this country. it is saddening how blind, complacent, and manipulated you are.

While people are inclined to whip out their phones and film when they see something alarming happening, those videos are not always recorded in a way that can be used as evidence in a legal proceeding or to support advocacy tactics.

At the human rights organization WITNESS, where I work as the senior U.S. program coordinator, we’ve learned that video has a greater chance of making an impact when it’s filmed ethically and strategically, and released in coordination with advocacy and legal efforts. Using the camera in your pocket can be a valuable way to ensure the world bears witness to abusive policing and systemic racism, help hold authorities accountable, and advocate for the real safety of our communities.

Okay so this tweet is a bit of satire to point out the absurdity of the #BlueLivesMatter narrative that blindly elevates police to hero status (see this post).

But I just had to comment on this particular tweet. So once upon a time, I was dating a girl who was a social worker. Like, she was the real deal. She even had a masters degree in social work. Anyway, one day she called me and said her car had broke down and she didn’t have Triple A, and asked if I could come get her. So I took the rest of the day off work and went to get her. We got her car towed to a repair shop and they said it would take a day to fix it, but she was really upset that she was going to miss some appointments with clients.

Long story short, I drove her to the rest of her appointments, and OH MY GOD. I’m a fairly big guy, and growing up I’ve lived in some pretty rough neighborhoods, but even EYE was afraid to go into some of the places where she had appointments. Incredibly impoverished black and white neighborhoods. I remember being sO impressed with her that day. At the end of the day, I asked her if this was a normal day for her, and she looked surprised (and a little annoyed) and said, “Yes. My clients are some of the nicest most honest people I’ve met in my life,” and she said other than a couple of times, she’s never worried for her safety. And she had been doing that job straight out of college.

And she did this every day, WITHOUT guns like our “brave” police.

So yeah, there’s definitely a lot of other professions that are far, far more important than the police, and these people manage to do their jobs without “accidentally” murdering the people they’re supposed to be helping.

Unmitigated racism and cowardice (around completely unarmed black people) plagues American police forces.

Can I get an Amen from my community case managers!!

If you are faced with domestic violence of any sort, however the situation came about, and the threat is still present, phone the Police Emergency number for your area, and carry on as if you are ordering a takeaway meal, they will quickly pick up on the situation (they are trained to do that), and ask you questions that you can answer in code, so that they can send the Police to your address.
