#reblogs

LIVE

Hey everyone, sorry for being away for so long. I’m still here occasionally, but usually I’m just browsing other people’s art. I try to respond to messages when I have the time, so I’m sorry if it seems like I’m ignoring you.

ANYWAY, the reason I wanted to make this post is because I want to let you know I’m going to start reblogging other artists’ work more often. Since I haven’t been as active lately, I still want to help spread the gospel of the futa gods, so I think it’s only fair to my followers that I (hopefully) show them new futa artwork!

Please know that I haven’t decided to quit animating or anything like that! I still want to bring you guys new animations and pictures. I just have VERY limited time these days so I can’t work on anything for an extended period of time. I hope you all are doing well and I can’t wait to show you what I’m working on next!

I backed this project and I’m happy to see it finally got printed! :D I can’t wait to receive my own copies (yeah plural cause I chose the reward that has both soft and hard cover) Sobs!

Reminder:

  • Everything is made of chemicals
  • Some of these chemicals have long and complicated names but are perfectly harmless
  • Elements in combination have very different properties to elements on their own (Chlorine is a poisonous gas used in WWI; sodium chloride is table salt. Just because a compound has something toxic e.g. chlorine, mercury, benzene derivatives in its molecular structure doesn’t mean the compound itself is toxic)
  • There is a safe and a toxic dose for everything (there’s a tiny, safe dose of arsenic or plutonium; there’s a toxic dose of water or oxygen)
  • Natural does not mean good (poison ivy, death cap fungi, box jellyfish neurotoxin, arsenic and radioactivity are all natural)
  • Artificial does not mean bad (medicine, increased food yields, transportation, clothes and the Internet are all artificial)
  • Information can be taken out of context and statistics can be used to mislead (Water (dihydrogen monoxide) is the main constituent of acid rain, it dissolves more substances than any other known liquid, it kills if inhaled, causes severe burns and has been found in all cancer tumours)

Remember all of the above next time you see a scare story about “chemicals” in food or water or read about an “all natural” health product or food! (Of course some chemicals can be toxic. The current West Virginia contaminated water tragedy is a good example. But don’t take all your science information from scare stories in the mainstream media! Scientific journals and textbooks are much more reliable.)

Unfortunately, textbooks and journals can also be really hard to parse. And while it’s easy to ask people to read more textbooks and journals, it is absolutely a learned skill, and just as importantly, they may not be available for free. In light of that, here are more ‘science literacy’ tips:

  • There are three types of ‘sources’/literature in science. Primary literature is basically experiment reports. “We did such-and-such and the results were such-and-such.” This is published by scientific peer-reviewed journals. If the article hasn’t been peer-reviewed, don’t trust it. Secondary literature is basically essays about other people’s experiments, often termed ‘reviews’ or 'meta-analyses’. They don’t revolve around a new experiment, but their job is to tie together the data from experiments by different people in the same field and compare and draw conclusions i.e. a “bigger picture” kind of approach. Tertiary literature is everything intended for broad public consumption, not just by other scientists, e.g. encyclopedias, popular science articles, your regular news and blog posts, everything not directly associated with a scientific institution. They are not subject to peer review, and sometimes the only guarantee of quality is the honesty and scientific literacy of the reporter responsible. It’s absolutely okay to get your dose of science news from popular science websites instead of journals, but it’s a good idea to check the original article sourced there and read the abstract/summary for basic fact-checking (and if it’s not sourced, and only says something vague like 'Researchers from Washington University have recently discovered…“ that’s a strike against it). Plus the abstract will never be behind a paywall. In general, scientists tend to publish fairly specific findings and be very cautious/conservative in their conclusions, while pop science websites are prone to blowing things out of proportion and prematurely conflating correlation with causation in favour of clickbait headlines.

  • Your local library will usually have scientific journals available, at least the big ones like Nature, Science, etc.

  • Don’t blindly trust e.g. popular Tumblr posts with lots of science findings or science-based life advice that only have catchy images and no sources to the original publications or at least pop science publications. You know the ones, you’ve seen them going around. Health advice ones are especially to be taken critically.
@scriptmedic, looks like good tips for getting around your basic scientific research? Might be quite useful in a number of circumstances, writing included.

I say all the time that I use my ao3 profile as an archive, not a portfolio, and that is definitely true of my writing, but I have some fanart up there that I’m just… self-conscious about. I already don’t put all my fanart on ao3, just certain pieces.

I’mnotgoing to delete any ao3 works permanently. I’ll be adding them to a collection of mine that’s anonymous. I may un-anonymize them someday if I feel like it.

I’ll be putting stuff in the collection starting in about a week. Feel free to save your own copies of my art, but DO NOT REPOST IT.

this is happening in the next day or two!

Y'all, I made a very cute mjolnir camping mug! The link to the store can be found in my pinned post.

User gendertrickery says, "does it came with blueberries tho."

I wish.

User guardiandae says, "this is a really good marketing technique tho ... i fucking love blueberries."

You know. I could enchant the mug so that every person who orders it will have blueberries manifest in their lives shortly after.

And how can I resist now!

“Buy YOUR blueberry enchantment TODAY and you’ll get a FREE MUG with your purchase!”

If you call pedophilia a kink please unfollow me and never talk to me again

Isn’t it disgusting that 23 people just unfollowed me

Unfollow me too

this goes double if you call paedophilia a disability. unfollow me twice

and if you call pedophilia an “orientation” or in any way compare it to being LGBP+ you can unfollow, delete your blog, and set yourself on fire.

I just lost 50 followers.. bye

clearing out the trash

GO ON AND S M A S H THAT UNFOLLOW BUTTON

BUHBYE U McNASTIES

I’ve seen this circulating forever and genuinely thought “no way do I have any of them following me” until this week when it turned out I had all these fuckin “MAP” (pedophile) followers sad to find out I’m an “anti” (normal person)

Please leave and also please get guinea worm.

Pedophilia is plain and simple predatory and disgusting. I understand some people do have it and hate themselves for it and force themselves to suppress it and never act on it. That’s a start. But regardless, this is your perfect opportunity to gtfo my page.

It’s not a sexuality. It’s not a kink. It’s not an orientation. It’s not a disability. It’s not normal. It’s not moral. It’s not valid. It’s unspeakably horrific and predatory. P-E-R-I-O-D.

Don’t argue with me. Don’t message me. Don’t even be on the fucking internet. You don’t belong here or anywhere else on the face of the fucking planet for that matter. Just unfollow me and then go die in a fucking house fire.

Please and thank you.

infernal-aces:

So I may have a new computer coming into my life soon, since my current one really enjoys finding new ways to lock up and crash on me while the fan screams for mercy.

It’s not gonna be cheap, so I’m considering running a Ko-fi preg drive to help with the costs. I might, I might not, it’s a bit up in the air right now.

But supposing it does happen, which character/s would you want to see for it?
