the whole dk/hbomberguy/glineham saga is just one psychic gut punch after the next. like, “oh, a midlevel lefty youtuber is playing donkey kong to own the transphobes. this owning was catalyzed by one transphobe telling people in the uk not to give money to a charity that provides support to trans kids. the lefty youtuber started streaming, made over $200k for the charity, and had guests on the whole time. these guests included a us congresswoman, who confirmed she is not only a gamer girl BUT she also has feet, one of the most famous government war crime whistleblowers in america, and a guy who can imitate donkey kong perfectly and said “trans rights!” in dk’s voice for the delight of all viewers. meanwhile, the transphobe is Big Mad on the internet.”
i don’t care about what aoc’s or chelsea manning’s or hbomberguy’s or contrapoints’s politics are in this case. they’re providing real, material aid to trans children. this is just wonderful.
