Hey folks, Paul here, and I’m excited to move forward with OpenToonz Tutorials!

I remember how lost I felt when I first launched OpenToonz, so I want to teach it in a way that’s easy to digest. Here are the initial topics I have in mind:

1. Installing & Finding Files
2. The Launch Menu
3. Initial Interface & Navigation
4. Levels & Drawings
5. Saving & File Location
6. Timing with the X Sheet
7. Adding a Background
8a. Exporting on Windows
8b. Exporting on Mac
9. Making a GIF!

And beyond that first wave, there’s more to explore! Read on for more potential topics…

More OpenToonz “how-to”s:

  • Coloring
  • Editing Brush Strokes
  • Customizing the Interface
  • Working with Cells and Columns
  • Projects & File Management (so exciting)

More animation craft:

  • Disney’s 12 Principles

THUNDER THURSDAY #83: Book Requests, and a Tutorial Question!

Hey folks, Paul here for THUNDER THURSDAY! Today marks one month since the book came out–I’ve been thrilled with the journey so far, and I’d love to keep the momentum going!

If you’re into it, check out thundercluck.com/book and any of the following:

Now, about tutorials!

While I enjoyed compiling the TUTOR TUESDAY PDFs, I know it’s been a hot minute since we had new tutorial content to share. Meg (@rawranansi), our tutorial mastermind, has been super busy with work! So I wanted to ask:

Would you be interested in animation tutorials for OpenToonz?

OpenToonz is an open source (which means ethically free!) 2D animation software, and I’ve been learning it myself since I started using it for the book trailer this past summer.

It’s a powerful program, though the interface definitely takes some getting used-to. I’d love to share what I’ve learned, especially since the program’s available for all!

If you’re interested, let me know. Comments and reblogs are much appreciated! Thanks,

Paul

Crochet Long Beanie bosnian crochet - with two colors

mary-willows:

I would like to give an explanation about the different orgasm types and hope to bring some light in the dark because people often seem to mix up these expressions. First of all I have to say that I am not sure if a correct definition even exist. Everybody has it’s own understanding from these different types of orgasms. I personally use the following definitions:

Handsfree orgasm

The name already says that it’s an orgasm without using your hands. Originally it means to cum completely without penile stimulation. However, this definition has some space for different interpretations and I distinguish between two different types of handsfree orgasms:

- Orgasm with penile stimulation

95% of all handsfree orgasms which occur on the internet are achived with a preceding penile stimulation or masturbation. Jerking a cock and then just take the hands off before cumming is indeed a ‘handsfree orgasms’, but only in the widest sense. If an orgasm is achived with initial masturbation I prefer the wide spread wording ‘ruined orgasm’, because it’s nothing more than that.

- Orgasm without penile stimulation

This is a real handsfree orgasm and can be achived by using the PC-Muscle. Easy said it’s the muscle you use to make your cock bounce. This muscle is also always strained when you have an orgasm because it stimulates the prostate. Alternate straining and relaxing of this muscle will lead to an orgasm completely without touching your cock for a single second. Of course this requires some exercise.

image

How to train it ? -> Making your cock bounce is of course already a training of this muscle. But instead of quickly strain and relax it, you should strain it for a longer period of time (5 to 10 seconds) before relaxing.  When you try this some minutes you will probably already start to leak precum, depending when you had your last orgasm. Of course there are much more exercises to trainthis muscle, therefore have a search on google.

Sissygasm

A sissygasm is an orgasm you can achive through anal penetration and therefore frequenting penetration of your prostate.

image

Your cock doesn’t necessarily need to be hard to cum like that. The fact that you can cum with a limp makes this kind of orgasm very intensive and you can milk yourself for a long period of time. I sometimes do that during 2 hours (of course with some breaks). As you know you can see the result in several videos of me :)

Just by definition a ’sissygasm’ is also a ‘handsfree orgasm’. You see there is space for different interpretations.

To learn how to achive a sissygasm I would like to refer to this great guide of Jenna Chaste:

http://jennachaste.tumblr.com/post/127028661593/jennas-quick-guide-to-anal-orgasms

People often tell me that they did some anal play and ask if they just had a sissygasm just because they dripped some precum. I can tell you: If you have to ask if you had one it was definitive none.

Assgasm / Analgasm

I personally think that it’s the same than a sissygasm. But I also know that some people say that it’s an orgasm without ejaculation, caused by anal stimulation. Maybe this is possible but at least I never experienced something like that. Maybe this happens to people who doesn’t tend to cum a lot. Since everybody is different there are people who don’t produce a lot of cum or precum. It is therefore thinkable that these people achive a sissygasm without ejaculating. Unfortunately I can’t give a real statement regarding this topic.

Important

Whichever of the above orgasms you want to achive, it is mandatory that you don’t masturbate and cum for at least 1 to 2 weeks to increase your sexual sensitivity. To experience these types of orgasms you need concentration and discipline. Furthermore you need time and a relaxed environment. These types of orgasms are directly linked to you mind and require devotion. If you are stressed, take medics or anything else which compromise your sexual sensitivity, it won’t work. It also won’t work if you try too hard. Often they happen when they happen and if you force it, it will never happen because your mind is blocked. If you have patience and motivation you will try again and again until you achive your goal. I personally can say that it’s definitive worth the hard work. It’s like an internal explosion which will drive you crazy. Furthermore these orgasms also last much longer than normal orgasms.

Furthermore I would like to mention that there is the danger that you can’t go back to normal sex or orgasms after this experience. Since the above orgasms are much more intense and fun, you will start to feel that 'normal’ cumming is boring and just waste of your love-juice.

If you have more questions you can find a lot of guides on google. Of course you can also gladly contact me if you have any questions.

I wish good luck and a lot of fun!

The finished result! I’m so ridiculously proud and pleased with how it turned out!

This was an ordinary door + 3 pieces of mdf board. I carved and sculpted them with my dremel multitool, inspired by the carvings I saw in Bali, mounted them and then painted and sanded the whole thing in several layers before adding a final tint of gold.

The door and side panel I sculpted myself. The top carving is from Bali.

I made a SKETCHBOOK TUTORIAL and uploaded it on Gumroad.

This is the 1st chapter, it is FREE and talks about common issues like Art Block’s and how to approach Art Challenges. This is the first part of a whole series about activating and maintaining a healthy sketchbook culture.

https://gumroad.com/draahwl

image

The talk this tutorial is based on has premiered this May at the IFCC in Croatia, Zagreb. I have received an overwhelming feedback on it, and since I think noone should live with an art block ever, I wanted to share its content also with those, who weren’t able to attend the conference.

Hope it will help you, and sharing is caring!

misslaneyluck:I made my own SUPER CRAPPY dimmable/ color changing ring light for under $30. The go

misslaneyluck:

I made my own SUPER CRAPPY dimmable/ color changing ring light for under $30. The goal of this project was to keep it as cheap as possible while still being functional for the single day we need it.

I found a tutorial that used an extra wide wooden wreath base, but I could not find them anywhere. I found the normal width ones, but they were only 12″ diameter and I wanted to go larger. I decided to use foam board because it’s cheap and the ring light isn’t getting moved around. If you have the tools available to you, wood wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Materials Needed:
18″ Quilt Hoop: $9.25 w/ coupon
2xFoam Board: Had ($4.50 w/ coupon)
LED Kit:$14.50
E6000 Glue, Super Glue - Had (~$3.50 each)
Primer + Silver Spray Paint + Shellac- Had (~$15 total)
Hotshoe mount/ adapter or Tripod mount, depending on how you want to mount the light. I’m using a spare for my Tripod

Tools Used:
X-Acto Knife
Scissors
Cutting Mat
Flexible Measuring Tape
Pen/ Sharpie

First off, you can tell even in the product photo I linked above that the quilt hoop isn’t perfectly round. If you’re using a wood base you’ll probably need wood clamps to hold the ring to it in order to keep it steady while your glue dries.

First step is to trace the inside of the hoop and cut out the circles on your 2 pieces of foam board. Make sure you make a mark so you can line them up later, since it’s not a perfect circle. You can see in my photo I traced the outside and then had to fix it, don’t be me.

image

Next I used E6000 to glue the 2 pieces together and let them dry for 2 weeks while I did other things for at least 20 minutes, you don’t want them to slide around. Make sure you only glue near the outside, we don’t want to cut through glue later.

Next I opened up the hoop (see photo below) and used E6000 on the inside and outside to secure it open. I smoothed the glue out with a plastic knife so it’ll look better painted. While that is drying, find the center of your ‘circle’ as best as you can. Pin your measuring tape there and measure so that you have a perfect circle 6″ from the center. That will leave us with a 3″ ring area.

image

It doesn’t look perfectly round in that photo but I promise you that it is. Now we’re going to cut it out. Score your circle carefully with the X-Acto knife and then keep cutting until you get through each/both layer. In later images you can see that I attempted to smooth the inside with hot glue - don’t do this, it looks awful.

Now, I put my foam board rings into the hoop and used hot glue to secure it on the front & back and fill in any gaps

image

Yay! It looks like a thing! Now for painting. You can just use the silver paint if you want, but I’m using multiple colors because I had them. Primer + Shellac is going to give you the best reflective finish spray paint could give you. You can also lightly sand in-between each coat (this is required if you made the back part of the ring out of wood).

image

Primed! I did about 3 coats over the entire thing- front, back and sides. I let it dry for about 15-30 minutes in between each coat, but this primer dries fast. Next I sprayed just the center ring with the metallic silver. Make sure you spray the paint somewhere else first because this kind can be pretty watery, even if you shake it up. After spraying 3 times and letting it dry completely over night, I Shellac’ed the metallic area 3 times. I overdid the shellac and you can see spots of it, but it doesn’t really matter as long as it’s shiny.

image

Make sure you test your LEDs before you start gluing! I used gel super glue because it dries much faster than E6000 for the LEDs. I just put drops and held the LEDs down, starting from the top and ending with the inside. Because the last layer is on the flat part of the ring, I had to kind of force the LED tape to turn.

image

Mounting is a bit of a challenge because the bottom is so flimsy, so here are 2 ways.
Tripod: Reinforce the area where the hoop closes with E6000. When that dries, saw off the wood block right above the screw. Attach your Tripod base with glue or by screwing 2-4 screws through it & to the wood chunk. I also think a permanent mount on the back of the ring would work very nicely and be sturdy.
Hotshoe: If you want the ring to go around the camera, you will need to add a little wood block to the inside of the ring so it can sit on the hotshoe mount like this:

image

(Photo from here, my inspiration for this tutorial)

I drilled a single hole into the base and screwed the tripod mount in, but because it’s so weak it needs to be reinforced or fixed. My temp solution was duct tape so I could take photos.

image

Boom. It’s ugly but it works! The remote has a ton of options.

image
image

There you have it! Cheap and simple ring light. Perfect for cosplayers and crafty people who have a lot of this crap lying around :)
