sorry if you still like harry potter ur a transphobe. you cannot separate the art from the artist if they are a) still profiting from that art and b) using their place as an artist to actively harm people. not to mention the fact harry potter is DRENCHED in racism, homophobia, transphobia and antisemitism.

so anyway harry potter stans get fucked and unfollow x

Ok tw transphobia but this is also the funniest shit ever

I got this ask

TRULY FUNNY SHIT.

HOW DOES ONE TYPE LIKE A GIRL?? WAS TRANSITIONING SUPPOSED TO MAKE ME “TYPE LIKE A MAN?”

Transphobes come up with the most insane shit ever to try to discredit your gender but this is something I’ve never seen lmao

Ok tw transphobia/homophobia but

One of my bf’s ex friends called him double gay because he’s dating me, who he at first thought I was a trans woman, but after finding out I’m actually a trans man he’s calling my boyfriend double gay/even gayer and that’s so funny to me. One of the only times someone has been homophobic but accidentally gender affirming to me.

so i usually dont do these kind of posts, i guess you could say its a call out of some sort? but i never liked that word, i prefer rather to just compile sources on WHY people would believe that a certain person is not truly as nice and understanding as they seem. consider this more of a psa post, detailing on whats going on with pazam on the sfm community, why so many people are against them.

She also deleted the ask where she states the age of her FK is 17, but i do have a screenshot of the ask

In case its important at all,,

really don’t like using “they haven’t experienced oppression like we have” as a reason to exclude fellow minorities for a lot of reasons, but probably a big one I don’t see much of is “if the one single thing everyone in our community has in common is the experience of being victimized, then who are we when we live in a world where we aren’t anymore?”

Aiming for a future where trans/homophobia doesn’t exist, and when we get there, start acting confused about why the the queer “community” is dissolving.

Like… you can’t build a foundation out of sand and wonder why your house is gone when the tide comes in

Please help UK trans people! Our right to use the bathroom of choice is under threat! Less than 1% of trans people in the UK have a gender recognition certificate due to gatekeeping. This would mean I and other trans men would be barred from basically any male gendered space and trans women would be barred from any female gendered space.

Donate here, please if you can. This is the Good Law Project- they’ve fought and won the last 2 threats against trans people. They can do it again if you share this and donate.

This is not a safe space for terfs.

I’m gonna give you all another reminder that @/fandersunite on tumblr and Instagram is an ace and aro exclusionist. Thought it would be good to let you all know, now that pride month has rolled around and they’re already been hi jacking ace/aro positivity posts. Stay safe my lovelies.

a history of @/fandersunite being ace/aro-exclusionary (with bonus transphobia):

i know she is incredibly popular in the ts fandom but her comments are harmful. on tumblr, we are more active in lgbt+ issues, but on instagram, people are taking her comments as a representation of community as a whole.

she is severely misinformed on trans and ace issues, which is dangerous for her young audience. i hope she learns but til then i’ll be avoiding interacting with her.

Funny how the new Deppaganda tactic is to label all Amber supporters radfems and terfs when Depp’s supporters and Depp himself have been purposely misgendering Amber’s former friend and witness IO Tillett Wright throughout the trial. They are perpetuating the “predatory trans” myth by insinuating he is a pedophile for “sexualizing” an underage Lily Rose Depp bc she was apart of his lgbtq campaign as a teenager.

The campaign in question:

The media misconstrued this post as Miss Depp coming out though she later elaborated that she actually preferred to not label her sexuality.

Johnny Depp later used this incident to cast doubt on IO’s testimony in The Sun libel trial and claimed that Lily Rose was “manipulated” into doing the campaign without his or her mothers knowledge.

Though articles from the time have Depp saying he did, in fact, know of her involvement with the project.

Remember this is the same father that let a 24-year-old man date and sleep over with his daughter when she was 16-years-old.

Obviously this isn’t Depp and his team’s most far-reaching use of conservative-style propaganda and moral panic tactics to discredit Heard’s claims but the insidious transphobic nature makes it all the more bewildering that this is the man that supposedly progressive zoomers on tiktok and youtube have decided to rally around.

When you say two things are different, and you specifically state one thing has a certain feature, you are heavily implying (if not outright stating) that the other specifically does not have that feature.

If you say Box A and Box B are distinct, then describe them:
Box A is 6″X6″X6″ and made of cardboard;
Box B is 6″X6″X6″, made of cardboard and purple
Then (based on the information) Box A is necessarily not purple. If Box A was purple, they would not be distinct.

If you say pansexuality is distinct from bisexuality, then describe pansexuality as “attraction to all genders (inclusive of trans and NB people/with no gender preference/with no focus on genitals/with focus on personality/etc.)” then the implication is that the opposite is necessarily true of Bisexuality.

You’re saying bisexuality necessarily excludes trans and NB people.
You’re saying bisexuals necessarily have a gender preference.
You’re saying bisexuals necessarily focus on gender/genitals.
You’re saying bisexuals necessarily don’t focus on personality.

Gotta love someone trying to hit you with their car cause you’re transgender /s

Target’s pride collection this year includes binders for reasonable prices!!! Im crying this is amazing. I’m not a fan of things on my chest but I honestly might get one

I hope tons of young trans/non-binary/2 spirited people get a binder this year!

I hope people who aren’t able to afford most binders are able to get one this year!!

And this is my time to say that TomboyX, a company Target is partnered for binders, is a transphobic company that uses terf rhetoric to veil their transphobia against both ftm and mtf people

aratakichiban:

ive already seen stuff about this so i want to make it clear. i hope people realize that john mulaney relapsing, having to go to rehab, divorcing his wife and then immediately after dating someone else and having a kid with her is one thing, it’s a series of things that happened to him and that are none of our business, they don’t impact anybody else’s lives except john’s and the people directly involved, that’s why people were defending him back then and talking about not putting him on a pedestal because he’s not perfect etc

john mulaney platforming a transhomophobe without a warning, and cheering him on and clapping and hugging him etc is a completely different thing. dude that HURTS people, that’s a direct attack towards his vastly queer online audience. it involves all of us

so here’s my point. “stop putting celebrities on a pedestal” worked for the first part, john was considered this untouchable being, and then he did something that was kinda ehhhhhhh and we know what happened

but THIS IS DIFFERENT. the pedestal is on the ground. we are ground fucking floor baby! the standard is literally “don’t be a bigot” AND HE DID THAT. there is no pedestal girl it’s basic common sense

one thing is elevating someone to godhood, giving them the untouchable perfect person status, and being disappointed when they do one thing that makes them less perfect. another is expecting the bare fucking minimum (not being a bigot) and being met with bigotry.

please. PLEASE for the love of everything that is holy and unholy on this earth, learn the goddamn difference and understand that this is nowhere near comparable as the previous shit that happened

Okay. So I went to see John Mulaney at Red Rocks. There was a surprise opener.

It was Dave Fucking Chapelle.

The second he came on stage, I was scared. By the time he was done, I thought I was going to throw up. My sister actually left and had a breakdown.

I don’t have a video (phone locks) but here’s as exact a transcript as I can manage:

TW AHEAD: transphobia, ableism, implied rape, implied bestiality, racism, sexual topics

* I had a special come out a little while ago.

* The people who got upset by it, I guess they didn’t listen all the way until the end. Because I didn’t have a problem with trans people. I really didn’t.

* But I do now!! (Cue uproarious laughter)

* And there was such a backlash. I mean, an uproar. And now I can’t tell jokes about transgender people ever again. And I won’t…ON TV

* If I were to tell my producers “hey, I identify as Chinese”

* And then I came in [offensive Ching Chong impression] and the one Chinese guy there was like, this isn’t right.

* Or what if I were sent to prison. And I’d say, no, man. I’m a woman. I identify as a woman. Im going to woman’s prison. And guess the first thing I’d do when I got in there??

* “Yeah, you bitches better do my laundry or I’m gonna…”

* To a disabled girl in the front row:

* So does that dog actually help with anything or just keep you company?

* Do you think if you put a little peanut butter down there he’d…yeah, I bet he would. He’d help you out. You ever put a little peanut butter down there? You ever done that?

* Can he pick stuff up? Like, can he up pick beer bottles? He can? I’ll give you 700 dollars for that dog. Right now.

* Later, to 2 girls in the audience: hey, you girls? Boys? Does it even matter anymore?

This transcript does not include jokes comparing Ukraine to Vietnam, jokes about Russia’s ineffectiveness (like he wants them to succeed??) or John Mulaney’s post-set comments about Dave being one of his best friends.

Tl;dr: I was forced to see Dave Chapelle. His jokes included comparing transgender people to racists and rapists. He also encouraged a disabled person in the audience to force her service dog to perform oral sex on her.

Please reblog this if you can, for evidence of his continued transphobia. I’d really hate my Chapelle nightmare to be for nothing.

If I see transphobic shit on my tl I will unfollow you so fast. This is a trans safe zone brah.

In case you didn’t see

John Mulaney decided to surprise the crowd for his show last night by having Dave Chappelle open up

Chappelle made transphobic and homophobic jokes, which Mulaney clapped for and hugged Chappelle as he got off stage

No one knew Chappelle would show up

Trans and gay people in the crowd were attacked by the comedian on stage without warning

If you care about trans people

If you care about gay people

You will not support either of them anymore

incredible the amount of transphobes just pulling statistics out of thin fucking air. “the latest ipsos poll shows 60% of labor-supporting women support katherine deves” the last ipsos poll was published over two weeks ago before the controversy started. “80/85/whatever number they’re using in this tweet% of australians support deves” actually polls show 78% agree they deserve the same rights and 66% want increased access to healthcare for trans kids funny how I can quote an actual poll and they can’t

Content and trigger warnings: transphobia (transmisogyny, outdated use of the word “h*rmaphrodite”), homophobia, islamophobia, ableism, death wishes, covid denialism

I know there has been already a Google doc on this person but, frankly, it got really sloppy towards the end and hasn’t been updated in over a year. Meanwhile, Roketto continues to be in fandom spaces and spew her hate on places like Reddit. Some screenshots have been taken as recently as October 2021. Aside from names, nothing is censored here. View at your own risk and heed the content/trigger warnings above.

I took it upon myself to make my own doc (with a bit of help from my friends) with specific incidents and proof that she has been hateful towards other people who think differently to her.

If you come across Roketto, just block her. Don’t message her, don’t provoke her, just don’t acknowledge her.

john mulaney can’t make jokes about jewish women since he divorced his wife so now he’s doing transphobia. so brave of him

mulaney had dave chappelle open for his comedy show, chapelle told transphobic jokes, they hugged at the end, then mulaney told the crowd, “thanks for not being violent”. and there isn’t any footage of this, since the audience had their phones locked away. he’s so annoying

Republican leaders and pundits spread a fucking 4chan rumor that the Robb Elementary shooter was a trans person.

Paul has since deleted this tweet. But since he does not care that he probably just ruined a transgender person’s life, of course he’s made no public apology. Well, not last I checked.

Also the 4chan person that pushed it literally said he knew that person had no involvement in it but wanted to get them bullied and hopefully lead to them committing suicide.

These are the people that republicans push conspiracy theories from.

[Image ID: a screenshot of a tweet (from May 24, 2022) from user oneunderscore_ reading “This false “shooter was trans" rumor going around the far-right is from a 4chan thread that links to a completely uninvolved person on Reddit who is still alive, doesn’t live in Texas, and obviously had nothing to do with the shooting.” With the tweet is a screenshot of a tweet from user DrPaulGosar, which reads “We know already fool. What the entire FUCK?

Let’s unpack this a little, though, specifically the ableist shit. Because I can already hear the apologists screaming, “he was just joking! He didn’t REALLY mean she should force her service dog to perform oral sex!”

And hey, that may be true, that probably wasn’t his intention, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t problematic. So, I mean, the baseline here is that he’s punching down, which is bad enough without being a starting point. Then you think about it for three more seconds and it’s clear that he just can’t look at a woman without sexualizing her. There’s the ableism of trivializing both her disability and her mobility aid. And the throwaway comment about buying the dog because it can pick up beer bottles is the icing on the cake – flaunting his wealth and joking about using it to take away accessibility tools from disabled people in order to be lazy, which low-key feeds into biases that disabled people face regularly about how if they just tried harder and weren’t so lazy, they wouldn’t be disabled. Obviously this woman had a service dog because she needed one. That’s how service dogs work. And, ngl, I’m also judging him for looking at this intelligent, loyal fuzzy friend that has been trained to support the needs of someone who struggles with certain tasks, and seeing it primarily as a tool he can exploit for his own whims.

This whole set sounds like a hot mess, and there’s a whole essay worth of a post about the transphobic shit in it, but targeting a disabled person just hit a nerve for me. Especially because the front row is often where some of the disabled seating is in a lot of venues, which doesn’t mean that the people who need those seats are willing to open themselves up as targets for comedians – especially when they didn’t sign up to see an opener who wasn’t on the bill.

beevinuniverse:

[Image id: a thread of tweets by Zinna Jones posted on May 21st, 2022. The tweets read as follows:

“John Mulaney is dangerous to us for the same reason as Dave Chappelle, he’s offered the public a choice between the funny guy they know who makes them laugh, or disposing of trans people as valid beings with an interest in our own humanity

Putting people in that position is an invitation to allies to peel off because John Mulaney and Dave Chappelle and laughter are more real to them than trans people, that’s basically it.

Every time a well-liked person does this, they run the ally-peel-off process again. It’s a process of normalizing this attitude toward us and making the general public comfortable with treating us this way. It just models poor behavior toward us.

So whether or not his intentions were in the right configuration isn’t really relevant to this happening to our community as we try to continue existing in the world being built by these well-liked public figures.

It’s a completely flagrant and unnecessary way that cis society raises the stakes for liking trans people. It’s awful.

People want to like John Mulaney more than they want to like us.”

I want to boost everything this person has said and add on.

The reason I call myself a tomboy now, despite it being seen as a childish word and having had someone swear at me over it because ‘tHeRe’S nO suCh thInG as BoY thInGs anD giRL thIngS sHut uP’ is because I couldn’t call myself that or be like that when I was a kid. It was seen as a negative thing and I was already bullied enough. “Looking like a boy” was the worst thing that could happen to a girl.

And I’m not even 26 yet. We aren’t talking 30+ years ago, we are talking 2000s and even 2010s. It’s only since trans people have become more accepted in the past few years that gender nonconformity has too.

And the people who helped me accept my gender nonconformity more than anyone else? Were trans people. They taught me, “there’s nothing wrong with how you feel. You’re still a valid woman no matter what you wear, how you have your hair or what you’re into ❤️”

And don’t even get me started on how people treat gender nonconforming men. JK Rowling has a lot of nerve to be like “uwu boys can wear dresses and only us gendercrits accept that!” when she has, even in recent works, made femininity in men a negative trait, as well as making masculinity in women a negative trait also.

A lot of people still don’t accept gnc people even now. Just last year I had someone tell me they’d never let their daughter “dress like a boy”, and I’m always terrified to walk into a bathroom in case the next JK Rowling is in there, sees my gender expression and pepper sprays me or worse.

“There’s no such thing as boy things and girl things.” I don’t need to be told that and I’m sure 99% of trans people also don’t need to be told that. Tell that to the society that hates us both instead of actively encouraging that hate.

Gonna point out the og tweet thread is now full of terfs saying that life was better for gay people in the fucking 80s, that it was super easy for them to be a tomboy in the 70s and 80s and therefore it must have been that way for everyone, and that it was totally acceptable to be a gnc gay person in the 80s!

They’re rewriting history as we speak to try to argue trans acceptance is making it harder to be gay and gnc for youth than it was to be gay in the 80s. This is a blatant lie.

The fucking 80s??? As in, “aids crisis” 80s?? As in, “the government actively avoided funding research to help gay people” 80s????

Man I knew terfism was brain rot but I didn’t think it was thisbad.

Actually I’m not going to just keep this in the tags

i was wondering if anyone knew how to navigate a friend who has a transphobic “opinion”

this is all serious, not hypothetical, but i will be using different names because i love my friend dearly

my friend Vicky is a cis woman (detrans’d from male if that matters???? i dont think it does) who thinks that not wanting to date trans people because they are trans is valid and okay

this is an opinion that to me is transphobic, so we dont see eye to eye. but Vicky is very trans positive, and very supportive of mine and my parters transitions and trans rights and everything. but that one opinion really sticks out to me

i dont know how to navigate this with her at all. i dont want to give up on our friendship over just that, but i dont know if maybe it is worth losing a friend over. any advice would be helpful right now
