Dont rush, take a breath!
I wanted to practice fonts and writing/lettering (I never really use words in my stirches) as well as a colour pallet I picked at random and made it work!
Inspired by lyrics by the amazing devil ‘not yet/love run’ and a shirt I saw in TKmaxx the other week that was super funky ;D
Fugue Identity by Sagmeister & Walsh.
New York design agency Sagmeister & Walsh has designed an interactive visual identity for cloud software management brand Fugue, that works like the software does: it constantly regenerates itself while data moves from one point to another. Since the company is about constant regeneration and evolution, Sagmeister and Walsh developed an application that allows them to import any SVG file so they can easily create new patterns and illustrations over time as needed. When you import a line drawing the application automatically generates it in the same language of the logo.

I’m at the Ampersand Conference in Brighton today. Time permitting I will try and blog as I go, but then again, there’s some great thinking coming from the speakers.
We’ve just seen Marcin Wichary from Medium.com who took us through some of the technical challenges of great typography across multiple platforms and before him was Indra Kupferschmid who had some very in depth pointers around type on the web for different situations.

The Eric Gill Series part one: The stairwell. | Londondesignz.com
I popped into the Old Truman Brewery earlier today to catch Monotype’s Eric Gill Series exhibition. I will post more about it over the coming days, but I was particularly impressed with the time and effort that went into the stairwell leading to the show! My favourite of this lot is the number five in the corner. While not anamorphic, being placed on a corner made it feel like it was enveloping the viewer.
It’s not often you find yourself at an exhibition where you spend more time photographing the artwork that isn’t strictly in it!
