I’ve given Demon and Ōkami new clothes! Demon’s are entirely my own design and Ōkami’s vest is inspired by Punk Rave but the rest is original

Demon Info:

-Demon’s font is Lucida Calligraphy

-His body and blush will be the same as his eyes/emotions

-If they feel 2 emotions, 1 color will be in their right eye and the other in the left(this depends on the order they are on the list, read top to bottom, left to right, e.g confused & scared: green in the left, yellow in the right)

-If he feels more than 2 emotions, the colors will flash and interchange, blinding him mildly; the more colors the less he can see and the faster they will flash

-Even then they’re blind as fuck anyway and needs glasses, though they rarely ever wear them

-Always uses he/they pronouns

-Birthday is 24th April(2415 y/o)

Ōkami Info:

-Ōkami’s font is Baskerville Old Face

-His scar does not heal due to it being an injury on his spirit and not truly tied to a physical body where it can heal

-VERY antisocial

-Rarely even sees/talks to other people

-Because of this he cannot read other’s emotions or social cues(not that he’d care about either, even if he could), except for Demon’s

-Birthday is 21st November(???? y/o)

Info for both:

-They have no soul, so they have no emotions, but gets them by draining them off of others and making them into their own, which slightly affects their mood(Demon more so than Ōkami), e.g they will be influenced to be a little happier around someone in a good mood

-They keep at least 1 weapon on them at all times

-Demon rarely removes his shawl and Ōkami rarely removes his vest

-They are 5′9

EDIT:Added wolf forms for both of the boys!

OC Shenangans! (They went home after this)

Demon gets drunk and Ōkami gets concerned

Harnessing oneself..

Is this an excuse to draw fire and Demon in a pretty dress? Maybe

Does it look cool anyway? Hopefully

I like Undertale. I like Hollow Knight. And I because I am an unreasonable person I thought what better way to celebrate my love for then then by smashing them together.

I know that I’m probably not the first one to do this, and that other people have probably already done it better, but whatever.

So may I present the UTMV/Hollow Knight AU I’m tentatively calling Hollow Dream.

Put below the cut because it’s a long post!

HOLLOW DREAM

There once was a kingdom of bugs called Hallownest. And Hallownest had a very big problem, a problem of corruption and infection, of warring deities and ideologies. One of those deities tried to seal away the other, in order to preserve his kingdom. After careful research and questionable methods, the Pale King, ruler of Hallownest, sent his champion the Guardian Knight to defeat and seal away the source of the infection, the Radiance.

It didn’t go according to plan.

Several sealing attempts and centuries later, something new awakens in the forgotten kingdom of Hallownest.

A shade without a body rises from its pit with a new consciousness and a desire for a life on his own terms, and a scream of agony reverberates within the walls of an ancient sealed temple.

CHARACTERS

Night, The Vesseless Void

image

The vessel that calls himself Night is not really a full vessel, at least not anymore. He is the shade half of The Guardian Knight, the Pale King’s first attempt at sealing away the Radiance. Many years after The Guardian Knight fell to the Radiance, the shade “woke”, or came to conscious awareness in the Royal Waterways, buried in a pile of trash and bodies. His physical form was nowhere to be found, and strangely Night realized that he is now capable of his own independent thought. He can only guess what that means with regards to the fate of his old body, though he has a terrible suspicion it was used at one point or another as a host for the Radiance.

Since waking, Night has no intention of following through with his original purpose or being a tool of the Pale King any longer. The Pale King is long gone, the Kingdom in ruins, there’s no need to maintain the stasis that rests over it, the seals will just weaken once again. Instead, Night is interested in exploring every corner of the ruins, seeking to understand the Abyss and the Void where he originated from.

Unlike most vessels, Night is capable of speech, although this was a talent he had to teach himself after waking. He commands a robust language, picked up from scouring the forgotten records of Hallownest. He wields impressive Void abilities, and makes frequent use of the tendrils that regularly sprout from his body. He also displays a unique ability to teleport through the darkness and shadows, and is able to pull other individuals through with him. Shade Soul, Descending Dark and the Abyss Shriek are also part of his repertoire. He doesn’t use a nail, rarely uses his hands, and honestly no one has seen him use his feet to walk. But why walk when you can float?

Through his explorations, Night has found a few locations that he utilizes as safe havens. The main one is the lighthouse in the Abyss that he’s repurposed to suit his needs. The closer he is to the Void, the more comfortable and stronger he feels.

*~*

There were many vessels who managed to escape the Abyss since the days of the Guardian Knight and the Hollow Knight. Many met their end in various ways, their bodies scattered here and there across the ruins. But a few managed to survive, and even meet up with one another and travel as a group for a time.

Unfortunately, it was only a matter of time before they fell prey to a stronger power…

Killer, The Leaking Vessel

image

One of the four vessels that escaped the Abyss once the seal was broken but had a violent encounter with the current host of the Radiance.

During the ensuing fight and struggle to escape Killer’s physical body was speared through and was tossed into the Waterways much like Night had been. He was washed through the pipes and channels, eventually draining out into the Ancient Basin. He clung to an outcrop near the ruins of the White Palace, his body struggling under the strain of the wound and new infection of light.

Night finds him here, the first other vessel he comes across, and manages to stabilize the Void within his body and save Killer from death. The encounter left its mark, however, as the now permanent “hole” in his chest leaks both Void and embers of corruption, and Void pours like endless tears from his eyes. There’s also a hint of something else, something that glows furious red within the hole, neither Light nor Void, that works to keep the corruption from festering further. Night decides to keep the wounded vessel close, to try and uncover the mystery, while Killer decides to tag along for the heck of it.

Like the other three, Killer is mute, but his wicked sense of humour is incredibly obvious anyways. He loves playing practical jokes at every opportunity and throwing himself into mischief. He has a curiosity that rivals Night’s, but lacks any sense of self-preservation and caution, likely as a result of his near-death experience. Killer is very animated with his emotions; when he laughs, he laughs hysterically, and when he’s angry, he stomps around and throws rude gestures at everyone.

His weapon of choice is a short nail that he swings around with reckless abandon. His preferred method of combat is to move in fast for quick hits, then dash away at the last moment to evade a counter. If he’s in an exceptional mood - angry, sad, manic, etc. - then his nail will glow with that same bright red that glows within his body and his attacks appear to cut much deeper.

Equipped Charms: Dashmaster, Fury of the Fallen, Sharp Shadow, Thorns of Agony, Sprintmaster, Unbreakable Greed, Defender’s Crest

Dust, The Quiet Soul

image

One of the four vessels that escaped the Abyss once the seal was broken but had a violent encounter with the current host of the Radiance.

During the encounter the infected host attempted to flood Dust’s body with light, as if it were trying to burn out the Void. Dust managed to break free and flee, escaping without a more severe physical injury like what marred the others. He found himself taking refuge in the twisting dilapidated mines of Crystal Peak, but while trying to avoid the crazed bugs that still act as miners in their madness he fell down a crevasse and became trapped within a pit made from the bright pink sharp crystals. He tried in vain for ages to escape, hurting himself more on the sharp edges, before giving up and waiting for death.

Night locates him here, after travelling to the Peak to see if the crystals have anything to do with the other power that swims within Killer’s body. He rescues Dust, and is surprised to witness a happy reunion between Dust and Killer.

The flooding of light in his body has permanently changed the colour of Dust’s eyes from black to bright orange, but there is a ring of red that indicates the same power to stabilize the infection is contained within his body too. His temporary crystal prison was in close proximity to the old Resting Grounds, and as a result he believes he can hear whispers from the dreams of the dead. For being mute and in a group of other mute vessels, Dust is quiet and reserved, one would assume hesitant if he didn’t have a calculating look in his eyes. He likes to join Killer in practical jokes every once in a while. He also likes to nap, and prefers to wear an oversized cloak as he feels it gives him comfort and security, and it doubles as a blanket anyways.

Unlike the others, Dust prefers to hang back in combat and rely on SOUL magic, only using his nail when absolutely necessary. His time trapped within the crystals have altered his magic; the projectiles have shifted and become more solid, and have taken on an appearance resembling the crystals found within the mines. This has granted a new edge in combat, as he can use the crystals to shield as well as attack.

Equipped Charms: Soul Eater, Soul Catcher, Shaman Stone, Spell Twister

Horror, The Hulking Survivor

image

One of the four vessels that escaped the Abyss once the seal was broken but had a violent encounter with the current host of the Radiance.

Horror was the first vessel to receive a mortal wound during the encounter, receiving a hit that cracked the right side of his head clean open. He fell instantly, and his body was tossed into the pits of Deepnest for the bestial bugs to consume. As the saying goes, however, he was only mostly dead, managing to survive despite the gushing head wound, fending off scavengers who would want to finish the job.

By the time Night finds him, the last of the four, he has managed to sustain a rather modest existence within the spider-infested tunnels. Horror even managed to befriend several little Weaverlings who cling to him like tiny babies. He is surprised and happy to see the others survived, and is bemused by the group’s astonishment and disbelief at his own survival.

Horror’s original nail was lost in the frantic activity of the encounter, so during his time in Deepnest he constructed a large halberd-like weapon from the claws, pincers and remains of other bugs. The struggle for survival in Deepnest has also granted him a massive level of physical strength almost unheard of for such a small creature. In combat he relies entirely on his physical might and his self-taught skill with his weapon, though some of the braver Weaverlings will throw themselves to aid him by binding his opponents.

The encounter with the Radiance host has left him with his permanent head wound that leaks Void and corruption essence, much like Killer. He also has the tell-tale red glow that floats with the corruption in his right eye. He doesn’t appear to have retained any hint of previous Void abilities, nor can he access SOUL magic either, though he doesn’t seem deterred by being forced to rely only on his physical prowess.

Horror is very patient and easy-going. He loves to take his time and get lost in his surroundings, and is very kind and gentle with the smaller non-hostile lifeforms. He’s incredibly resourceful, as evidenced by his survival in one of the most hostile places in Hallownest, and prefers to utilize every resource at his disposal, wasting nothing if possible. Horror had a history of getting a little too lost within the tunnels of Hallownest prior to his injury, and after the encounter it only seems to have gotten worse, even with the help of a map.

Equipped Charms: Steady Body, Heavy Blow, Weaversong, Unbreakable Strength, Unbreakable Heart, Wayward Compass

Cross, The Stoic Heart

image

One of the four vessels that escaped the Abyss once the seal was broken but had a violent encounter with the current host of the Radiance.

Cross held his own against the Radiance host, looking to sacrifice himself to allow the others a chance to get away to safety. He was wounded, knocked out and left behind in a dark, narrow tunnel as the host gave chase to the remaining vessels. He was eventually discovered, however, by the enigmatic creature known as The Collector, who delighted in having such a unique bug as part of their collection. This is how Cross came to consciousness trapped within a small glass jar in a dark room with dozens of other jars, some empty, some with other bugs inside, dead or otherwise. He spent a long time languishing as a trophy belonging to The Collector before Night found and rescued him.

Like the other three, the encounter with the Radiance host left Cross permanently changed. He is scarred across his face with a distinctive x-shape gash, and spots of orange corruption burn within his eyes and the wound. He has also been marked by the red glow, which burns as brightly as the orange does in his wounds. He fights with two thin nails, and has somehow managed to master several nail arts, though it’s a mystery how, as he has not met any of the living Nailmasters. Much like before the encounter, Cross prefers to fight up close with his enemies, planting himself firmly between his foes and his companions.

Cross is stoic, or at least tries his hardest to be the most serious of the group. He is easily riled up, especially by Killer, and tends to wear his emotions on his cloak. If you pay close attention though, you can see that even if he’s teased, he also seems to enjoy the interaction and companionship. Cross tends to seek physical connection and touch, though it’s tough to say whether this is as a direct result of his imprisonment by The Collector or it existed before the encounter with the Radiance host. His tendency to see himself as a leader, or at least the most reasonable one of the group, clashes with the brazenness of the others, and his worry and anxiety over their well being breaks his stoic composure almost constantly.

In combat, Cross focuses exclusively on using twin nails, only using SOUL magic to heal wounds, be they others or his own. While he’s mastered several advanced nail techniques, and even bears the mark of one who studied under the ancient Nailmaster, Cross has never actually met another nail art practitioner, and all his techniques appear self taught. He’s not as agile or savvy as the fearless Killer, and has a hard time traversing difficult terrain, and for some reason he’s downright fearful of grubs, the small peaceful creatures found throughout Hallownest.

Equipped Charms: Nailmaster’s Glory, Balder Shell, Mark of Pride, Longnail, Quickslash

*~*

While Hallownest is an ancient ruin far from the days when it was fit for the habitation of thousands upon thousands of bugs, there are a few who manage to create a humble existence for themselves within the caverns.

There’s one in particular who catches the interest of the wondering group of vessels.

*~*

Luna, Heir Of The Exiles

image

Luna is a moth who was born far from the ruined kingdom of Hallownest. Her parents spoke in hushed whispers of the ancient kingdom, and of the forgotten tribes of moths they were descended from that called the caverns home before the arrival of the Pale King. Luna never quite understood what they meant when they referred to themselves as “exiles”, never understood the artifacts they worshipped in their lodgings.

She certainly didn’t understand the day her parents suddenly turned on her, their bodies misshapen with pulsing growths and eyes suddenly glowing with furious orange, speaking the garbled words “RETURN”, “LIGHT”, “WORSHIP” and “PURGE”.

Luna doesn’t speak of what unfolded in their home, only that she emerged with damaged wings and antennae, holding an old bow that once belonged to her mother with its drawstring newly snapped. Luna fled her home that day, knowing that there wouldn’t be anyone following.

When Luna arrives in Hallownest, in the cold regions of the Kingdom’s Edge, her only thought is to try and understand what happened to her parents and how the old ruins are involved. She had to learn on the road the means in which to defend herself, and while she’s competent she is by no means good against strong foes. Cold, alone and without a means of breaching the city’s massive walls, Luna takes shelter in the hidden nooks and crannies in the Edge, avoiding the crazed bugs who show the same signs of madness as her parents.

This is where she is found by a group of four mute vessels, (Dust, Horror, Cross and Killer) whose combat abilities make short work of the enemies Luna struggled against for months. The boys take Luna to meet Night, and after accepting that she really has no other place to go decides to have her stay with his little group. He recognizes the tell-tale sign of Radiance corruption as she explains her reasons for being in Hallownest, though Night is confused as to why the former worshippers of the long forgotten deity would also succumb to its debilitating corruption.

Moths have an innate connection to SOUL, dreams and dream essence. Luna was never trained in the arts by her parents, but she does display a limited ability to read the “dreams” and thoughts of those around her. This ability allows her to understand Dust, Horror, Killer and Cross despite their muteness, similar to how Night can understand and communicate with them. She’s inquisitive and thoughtful, and rather cheerful considering the tragedy in her recent past. She’s by no means proficient in combat and tends to keep her distance, only using her broken bow as a pole-arm in a defensive manner. She keeps the broken weapon, hoping to one day repair it, but any thread or string she attempts to use for it snaps immediately, almost as if the ancient weapon requires a different kind of thread.

i drew my character and paper crane together (platonically) because their designs looked kind of similar to me :D
