The ‘78 re-release!

It seems the Cigarette Hangover was a Philip Morris thing so they could create a benign side effect of smoking that no one had ever heard of (other than a short dabble with it by another cig company in the 30s that soon dropped it) and then offering a simple fix, their cigarettes.

The cigarette hangover was a ‘cottony’ feeling in the mouth in the morning, or something like that..

As a side note, it seems that due to a chemical they both have in common, smoking makes hangovers from alcohol worse, but that’s not what they were talking about.
