Red Cherry Necklace by Anita, MelodyODesigns
This was actually one of my very first Etsy purchases which arrived first yesterday. Etsy is wonderful; I got a notification right after the package arrived in my mail box!! I lost my package the other day and I was very anxious, so I was so moved by this little thing which happened to me.
The package was so lovely, the butterfly is not just a print or stamp, but it’s cut out from a paper and glued!
The necklace was in a green tin can with a handwriting thank you memo.
This is 40′s vintage Bakelite inspired necklace. I don’t mind to won reproduces or something inspired by the vintage goods as long as it is in a fantastic quality. And this is one which is amazing, definitely eye catching and great for summer!!
I am so in love with this necklace. I’m wearing it as writing this post ;)

Beautiful finds at Cur.io Vintage
Cur.io Vintage is one of my favorite vintage clothing stores in Waltham. Their selection is always in a terrific condition, clean and beautiful. Sadly they are taking a break from their business for a while but the owner said that they’d open in summer with a big sale. I am looking forward to it truly.
This 60′s fur collar suit is just fantastic. Whenever I wear it, always I get a complement. My husband is not a big fun of animal pattern, but I am so glad I bought this one.
This is my husband’s find.
Sailing is very popular here, and he does sailing and love ships, finally the maple leave pattern… The tie is just like Massachusetts!!

Faux Flower Earrings and Brooch Set from Bobby From Boston.
This store is very cool, and well-known vintage clothing store in Boston. My husband loves it because they have more men’s clothes than women’s.
A guy at the store said “ I think it belonged to Bobby’s mother. ”
At work, one customer pointed out my earrings saying “ Spring has come to your ears :) ”
Made in Germany, I assume…
They are beautiful but I have metal allergy and especially my right ear, I got so irritated… I need to buy silicone pad or something to protect my ears… That is the only down side, but other than that they are so beautiful and I am happy to own my first clip-on earrings!

The outfit of the last Friday.
For some reason I thought the outside was warm, so I chose this spring kind of out fit.
But actually it was around 8 degrees, so wore this jacket.
But still colder than I expected and it was freezing to walk outside without gloves and scarves… I am silly.

I made nibushiki-juban from my vintage beautiful silk juban by myself.
I bought this juban from Hyotan-ya, which is an antique/vintage kimono store in Osaka (I’m sad that the store is not open right now, hopefully the owner will start his business again soon!), almost 10 years ago… !!
This is actually my first juban, but it is difficult to wear antique kimono because they are a little too small, or the fabric is worn out and if you pull the fabric too hard, it would break off.
Anyway, I didn’t wan’t to ruin it, and had kept it like a treasure for a long time. But now I’m confident enough to wear them and it is actually in a very good condition than I thought.
But the problem was, as usual, it was short. So I decided to make nibushiki-juban out of it.
I always wear nibushiki-juban, because it is easy to wear, easy to shape the emon nicely.
First, cut it in 2 pieces! Be bold and just cut it!!
It’s better to have the edge a little bit longer so you can sew it up.

The bottom part. I searched and referred on the Internet and found some nice instructions to make juban.
色のあるくらし ←The blog has a lot of recipe to make kimono stuff!! Very cool ;)
I love anqitue/vintage kimono, but the size had been always an issue, but now juban, I will be able to buy anything with this technique. It is so exiting!!

Wearing kimono to work on Sundays!

60s / 70s straw bag hand made byBettyfromThe Garment District
Thank you Betty for the wonderful juicy grape bag. The grapes are 3 dimensional, made of knitting thread (it feels like wool), and faux leaves and vines. I think it is very unique that the grapes are not the plastic faux fruits but balls of knitting thread, and also the inside is beautifully decorated by the gold ribbon.
I’m sure Betty was pretty crafty :) She should be proud of herself because her bag is still in use over a half decade :)

80s/90s chemical wash jeans from @garmentdistrict !! I am looking for blue jeans as well but it is so hard to find the one which fits me.
ケミカルワッシュジーンズ！一生買わないと思ってたけど、買ってみたらそれほど悪くなかった。なんせサイズがピッタリ、ジッパーも現代のローライズの2倍以上のしっかりハイウェスト。出来たら40s/50sくらいのリーバイスブルージーンズも見つけたい。ハイウェストはお腹も腰も冷えず最高です。

We went to our favorite vintage store Curi.o Vintage. They are having a sale until the end of this month, and this is my birthday month and I had no reason not to go!! 60’s wrecker purse, 60’s Marketa pouch and mother of pearl compact with actual face powder in it. They are all so fascinating, thanks to my husband for the gifts and flowers!!

A month ago I welcomed this lovely and warm Norwegian hand-knitted vintage sweater from @cambridgeraspberryberet ! Especially I knit myself and that sweater is a masterpiece to me… All stitches are lined up regularly, no mistakes, just perfect! MA has been warmer than usual and I don’t really have many chance to wear it. I wouldn’t be convenient when it starts snowing, but I kind of hope the temperature would drop down and I enjoy all of my winter clothes without sweating lol

ヘッドドレス, 沢山見るけど中なか綺麗な状態のいいものを見つけるのは難しい。白いのんは新婚の友人へ。 いちごはお塩とコショウ入れ。かわゆさにひとめぼれ。日本製。アメリカのヴィンテージ陶器類は日本製がとても多いです。かつては安く高品質の物が輸入できたかららしい。浮世絵もそうやけど, 海外にいいものが流れていったのは, いつの時代も素晴らしい物を作り続けている誇りであるし, でもまた惜しくもある。 ランプはガラスシェイドが好き, いずれはガレなど手に入れられるといいなぁ。 皆さんももし, ヴィンテージやアンティークで, 何か欲しいもののイメージがあれば, 伝えてもらっていれば探しますよ^^

This is what I got Garment District, vintage reddish brown wool suit.
I like suits and setups because they are cheaper than buying jackets and skirts, but you can coordinate with whatever you want as well as wearing them together. So much variations to enjoy :)
These can be worn casually, it’s going to be a fun winter!
これがそのお店で頂いた、小豆色ウールスーツ。
スーツとかセットアップが大好き。なぜならジャケットとスカートを買うより断然安いし、一緒に着てもばらばらに着ても問題なし。色々遊べるのが良いですな。2部式の着物もこんなふうにして遊ぶのはどうなのだろうかと思う今日この頃（一着も持ってないけど）。
これはそれ自体はチョーかっちり形ですが、カジュアルに着るのが楽しみ。
