I’m That Witch.

@arcanemysteries I don’t mean to seem like I’m attacking or picking on you, but are you aware that this image is very anti-Semitic? The whole “stereotypical witch aesthetic” is originally an anti-Semitic tradition. A good article about it can be found here. Please help spread awareness that this is not okay! Thanks! :)

Thank you glad I’m not the only one saying it <3

@arcanemysteries you are a respected diviner and member of the tumblr tarot community, and I love you with all my heart. It would mean a lot to us Jews if you rejected anti-semitic imagery.

You’re welcome! With as vigilant as this community is about misappropriation and anti-opression/racism/discrimination, I feel like this should be top priority in the witch community! Not only is it oppressive of Jews, but I, personally, don’t want to be associated with that aesthetic; that being said, I can’t begin to imagine how sick it must make Jews feel.

Psa to all the Jews out there, witch or not, I support every single one of you and I aim to slay this aesthetic. It’s been far too long and faced with far too much ignorance.

She walked on the pale gray snow cover that wrape up the frozen forest. Silence, a cold, withering, sleeping silence, filled everything. Here is only the faded sun, here is only the wind, silent in the distance, here is only the sky. The gray sky that is intertwined together with the snow shroud, on which, like precious rubies, the scarlet drops faintly shine. There are berries, dropped it in the path, shards of ice crystals stained with her blood, it traces of the call that leads deeper into the forest…

I am the shadow of a forest lake, whose waters wash the grey shores of sorrow. My half-sisters are drowned, their souls dissolving in the muddy water, wandering behind me on gray cloudy evenings, trying to grab the hem of my dress. I am a shadow without voice, without name, without age and memory of the past. Sometimes in the monochrome ripples of the water I could read the words, in its hieroglyphs of shadows and reflections, the words spoken before the Exodus, before the inevitable death, the words of the doomed. At such moments, like a cold stone snake penetrated into my heart, and pain fettered all my inside. I tried to erase the words with the darkness that enveloped me, but in vain. My tears could not erase the pain that soaked the waters of this lake. I was just a shadow, one that couldn’t change the flow of time and the flow of water. I could only watch. Then, overcoming a shiver, I lay down on the water and looked into the gray sky, hidden by a veil of clouds that were so inaccessible, and it seemed to me in them, as in this lake, there is the same shadow that could only feel the coldness of this lake of tears.

Full Moon Beauty Water
Source | https://www.instagram.com/mariathearcane/?hl=en

You can either make this during the full moon and leave it out to catch some of the full moon rays or use the full moon water you have in your fridge on a Friday!

Ingredients
•A jar or bottle
•Tablespoon of dried red petals
•Tablespoon of dried jasmine
•Tablespoon of dried yarrow
•small pinch of catnip
•Small pinch of saffron
•Extra credit: A dried pink or white orchid flower
•Full moon water or water depending on when you make this

Add each ingredient with intention as you add it to your vessel. Envisioning or thinking about your inner beauty shining through to the surface.

Feel free to strain with a cheesecloth after 24-48 hours.

Add a little to shampoos, conditioners, body lotion, etc, and apply directly.

If you like to full moon bathe, apply some the next full moon bathe ritual to further enhance its properties and longevity when applied!

As always, this is how I personally do things, which may be different for you and that is a-okay! Everyone’s practice can and should be different!
