Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.
“The village that surrounds the great Kāṣyapa stupa is generally known by the name of Bauḍḍha. which in Tibetan is called Yambu Chorten Chenpo (Tibetan: ཡམ་བུའི་མཆོད་རྟེན་ཆེན་པོ།). The real name of the stupa in full is, however, Jya Rung Khashor Chorten Chenpo, which may be translated into: "Have finished giving the order to proceed with.” The stupa has an interesting history of its own which explains this strange name. It is said in this history that Kāṣyapa was a Buḍḍha that lived a long time before Shākyamuni Buḍḍha. after Kāṣyapa Buḍḍha’s demise, a certain old woman, with her four sons, interred this great sage’s remains at the spot over which the great mound now stands, the latter having been built by the woman herself. Before starting on the work of construction, she petitioned the King of the time and obtained permission to “proceed with” building a tower. By the time that, as a result of great sacrifices on the part of the woman and her four sons, the groundwork of the structure had been finished, those who saw it were astonished at the greatness of the scale on which it was undertaken. Especially was this the case with the high officials of the country, who all said that if such a poor old dame were allowed to complete building such a stupendous tower, they themselves would have to dedicate a temple as great as a mountain, and so they decided to ask the King to disallow the further progress of the work.When the King was approached on the matter his Majesty replied: “I have finished giving the order to the woman to proceed with the work. All’interno dello Yoga Kundalini abbiamo una parte dedicata a tutto questo che chiamiamo Umanologia. Il suo significato esatto nasce dalla parola Hu, che significa “raggio” o “radianza”, e Man che vuol dire “mente”; quindi “ Hu-man” diventa “la radianza della mente”. L’Umanologia è una scienza che fornisce linee guida specifiche per vivere una vita armoniosa con se stessi e con gli altri, in un intento di realizzazione del potenziale umano nella sua espressione totale: mente-corpo e spirito. L’Umanologia si applica alla vita concreta, con indicazioni su come riconoscere la propria identità di donna o di uomo, su come si entra in relazione e cosa accade, su come affrontare la sessualità, la maternità, la nascita (e quindi anche la morte) e ancora tanto altro.
Lo yoga ci insegna che dentro ognuno di noi esiste un’anima, che è oltre le polarità. Ogni qual volta ci incarniamo questo avviene nel corpo di una donna o di un uomo, da una semplice variabile come questa nasce una realtà concreta che Yogi Bhajan ha cercato di descrivere indicandoci le diversità di base che esistono tra i due sessi, in un intento di elevazione importante:

Yin is dark, cold, receptive, magnetic.
Yang is light, hot, giving, active.
Both are present in everything. Day is Yang, Night is Yin. But during a Yang day, one will have periods of Yin rest.
Yin-Yang is also an important concept in Japanese art. In the calligraphy above, outward brush-strokes are Yang and should be painted freely. Inward brush-strokes are Yin, and should be painted tightly.
Even in as mundane an activity as cooking, one finds Yin-Yang. In Japanese cooking, there are Yang knives which are used blade-outwards, and Yin knives which are used blade-inwards. Yin-Yang also applies to the ingredients. The leaves of a plant are Yin, but the roots of a plant are Yang. As with everything, a good balance is necessary.
In the image above I intended to make the “yang” round like the sun. It also resembles an “enso”, a hand-drawn circle which in Buddhism signifies the circle of life.
