karkats color is red- this is obvious. anhemas color is red/blue/yellow because of the sollux descendancies. yellow is for her blood, red symbolizes her connection to the karkat side of her, and blue symbolizes her singular identity as a person of her own. hence why i put her in blue sweaters etc etc if she was a human her symbol color would also be blue. the left side of anhema is dead/covered in blood, and that one blue arm represents the death of that timeline version of her. this leads to the concept of the open grave she leaves behind (anhema dying in that timeline and immediately departing it, leaving karkat and nix to gather up the open ends) and very literal soulless body, one of many dead anhemas across paradox space.

i actually extended the cloths/drapes to form a silhouette of the time symbol on the ground, since time is anhemas aspect. the red drapes reach to the floor, while the yellow shadows/blood fade as they go downward showing the Departing of anhemas soul, leaving karkat alone

the blue sweater sleeves represent the many corpses of her ‘singularities’ across these multiple timelines, which go back around to her blue left arm cradled between her and karkat. we love a red/blue duality baby and i love primary colors

last but not least this composition is based on pietàby michelangelo. its so fun to see karkat -the guy who is practically troll jesus in all but name- in the position of mother mary while he holds his dead daughter who died not from martyrdom, but from selfishness*.
