You see, I like tenderness, and joy, and delicacy, to be central in my photography work. It’s more like : I can’t avoid them, because I’m probably too emotional myself, and art is the place where I can express all the softness and the high-strung vulnerability that I truly believe is my actual strength.
However… I also deeply love anger, fierceness, I love to scratch the embarrassing itch right under the surface, and to play and nonchalantly bend everything that is considered taboo, shocking, slightly off limits, and most of all, out of what is supposedly called normalcy.
Sadie Lune contacted me two winters ago, to see if we could collaborate while in Berlin for the pōrn festival. Sadie is quite a legend for queer performers, and the fact that she was also heavily pregnant at the time quite added up to the whole charisma package wrapped in fem sharpness who hit me in the face ✨
Therefore this fierce queer pregnancy photo-shooting we did in the shower, erotic, glittery, powerful, holds a special place in my heart. These are the “pregnancy pictures” I didn’t know I’ve always dreamt to see !
