‘On the best cat in the world there is one hair of the devil.’

Had the urge to paint a kitty yesterday and decided to take it out on JWiesner’s crime lord Senanca Salvatore, the big bad of his graphic novel Luminahi. As he puts it, ‘I believe Senanca is not even aware that he’s a mafia boss. He’s only aware that you can achieve whatever you want as long as you have friends.’

Senanca is a Cornish Rex, one of the few cats with curly fur. They are purported to be very affectionate and cunning (‘more like a monkey in a cat suit than a cat’) and perpetually caught in a state of looking like they just got toweled off after a bath.
