It was one of those rare moments where she was able to boss him around. The furrows in his brow had been obvious for most of the day, and the way he would roll his shoulders as if he had a knot he was trying to get loose told her all she needed to know. He was too stubborn to ever admit to weakness, let alone ask for help with it. Or at least, his silence was his asking for help. You had to be able to pick up on the signs. 

She’d walked up behind him, hands settling down on his shoulders as her lips found the strong line of his jaw. He arched a brow, and she brought her mouth to his ear. 

“Come on, you need to get rid of some of that tension." 

His eyebrow raised a little higher. She couldn’t see it, but she could tell it was there. Her eyes rolled.

"Oh not like that. At least, not until I’ve actually worked out the kinks.” And with that she gave his shoulder a pat and sauntered into the bedroom. He followed, after a few minutes, a large sigh heralding his arrival. But he got on the bed with little fuss, almost falling face first onto the covers as she grabbed his shirt and pulled it up over his head.

“Re.” She paused, her lips curling. “Lax.” The second syllable was drawn out, emphasised, and he took a long breath before releasing it.

“Just get those little fingers to work, babygirl.” He grumbled, his voice vibrating through the bed in a low bass. She bit her lip and nodded, her hands settling down into his lower back, thumbs pushing against the muscles. 

She only managed to get about half way before he rolled over and grabbed her. Only managed to get about half way before he decided it was about time he worked out the tension in a more… entertaining activity.
