Oh boy, commission work can be such a mix of emotions some times. Dash has terminal cancer. He’s obviously very special to his people, and they’re going to miss him a lot. They wanted a painting as a keepsake, and they wanted it of this memory, a bucket list to they took with him down the West coast. I’m always so grateful to be trusted with such a project, but sad for him and his people.

This year, I have the goal of learning how to paint backgrounds and environments. I’d also like to get better at artistic storytelling, but we’ll see how the year goes
