fun fact to go along with this one guys: its often said how few white men were involved during this time. It was a pretty big mix of ethnicities tbh but eventually more black people decided they wanted to focus their efforts on the Civil Rights Movement which is totally understandable. A LOT of white men were involved with the early days of “The Homophile Liberation Movement” as it was called then. Look up Mattachine Society, look up Magnus Hirschfeld. Listen to the podcast called Making Gay History (hosted by the older man above)

I’m begging you. Please. STOP learning minority history from people on tumblr and LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO WERE THERE. Pull your head out of fake tumblr social-justice’s ass and you’ll actually learn SO MUCH about our real world and things that need to be paid attention to.
