This piece turned two recently, and it was a great reminder of how my practise has developed in that time.

I originally had aspirational goals of having the three sisters be a mountain country side, housing a little town and being the guardians of the land. At the time I really didn’t have skills to bring that into the world but I still went ahead and tried my best. I ditched the idea for the most part because my skills weren’t there yet.

Today I think the concept needs some further developing and more lore attached to it. Asking questions of what kind of weather does this town have? How do they sustain the village? When and where is this village placed in history? I’d have to step back and really research some interesting ways of how the human body can morph into landscapes as well.
