A meta movie, based on Antonioni’s Blow Up, with echoes of Coppola’s the Conversation, only this time it’s a sound effect tech versus a photographer or surveillance expert. A kind of American giallo, which has been repeatedly cited by Tarantino as an influence, although it took a few decades for it to marinate and find an audience (and get to Criterion;)
