I’ve split the four prints into four posts so they all expand to the fullest extent.

Bears the imprint of L. Brancher, 16 Rue Madame, Paris, located in the 6th arrondissement, a supplier of inks and varnishes to the typographic trade. Two of the prints have the proprietress as Vve L. Brancher, which is a French abbreviation for ‘veuve’. This designation, not used in English-speaking countries, indicates that the bearer is a widow.
