In 2012, we were introduced to the “controversial” mural by Brazillian street artists Os Gemeos, which graced the ventilation building in Boston’s Dewey Square.

In 2013, the city opted for a more restrained mural. A Grey-toned, cosmic tendril design by artist Matthew Ritchie.

Now, the 2014 mural – designed by Shinique Smith – that will take its place is beginning to take shape. What will it look like? A little like this.
