After the drinking party, young Eric (not THAT young-he was twenty-one) and his friends stumbled out of the bar and through the affluent college town toward their university dorms. It was about at least a mile walk, but the young men, all superb athletes, could easily make the trip, even in their inebriated state. The next day, Saturday, they would all have to report for diving practice.
