80 years ago on this day was born a French girl called Françoise Paulette Louise Dorléac. Little over a year later her sister Catherine was born. By the 60s the sisters had taken the French and international film scene by storm. Working with names as François Truffaut, Jacques Demy, Eduard Molinaro, … Françoise life was cut short in a tragic car accident in 1967, however she made an indelible mark on all people who saw her and all those she met. Even now, 80 years after Françoise’s birth her life, movies, personality keeps being celebrated worldwide by fans who were born decades after her passing. Her legacy is very much alive both professionally, there are still screenings of her movies, and in private, just look at all the tribute pages online. Fans today spread their love for our Framboise on Tumblr, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, … making sure new people are able to discover this very special actress. Whether you just watch her movies, have a fan account or talk about her to your friends of family I just want to say thank you. Thank you for making the time to do so and keeping her memory alive.
