Reflections on: Project Metalbeast(1995)

• I really liked the distribution company logo, especially because it’s not quite level.
• The word “blood” is used 11 times in one short scene near the beginning.
• The main character licks a drop of blood off a public bathroom sink :( 
• Military doctors invent metal skin that looks just like lasagna (not pictured). A ridiculous chef character (see above) is understandably upset that scientists are using his kitchen to put this lasagna-like skin on a corpse. That is not foodsafe.
• The story takes place in both 1974 and 1994 but Barry Bostwick’s character inexplicably doesn’t age. He’s also extremely mean for no reason. Who was he even? The president?? 
• A boom mic was visible.
• It passes the Bechdel test at least. 
• All the women characters in this are doctors. One of them sleeps with a stuffed animal kangaroo - again this is never explained or referenced. 
• Big piss discussion scene. 
• Despite the fact that the werewolf looks more like a hedgehog the makeup and special effects in this were actually pretty good. 
• Most of this movie takes place in one location. I wish it didn’t.
• At one point characters play cards while listening to industrial music.
• Watch this if you enjoy dialogue like “what the heck, these bullets look like silver”, “FBI computer” and “connect him to the rectifier”.
