So an update on the crazy taxi DC restoration mod for the steam version.
A guy came to my discord server and figure out how to restore the pizza hut textures and the FILA building.
Apparently instead of patching the textures, sega used the exe to manually edit the building models to remove the building textures. That’s such an odd thing to do.
but then again, it’s suffering from a lot of flickering, so they probably got lazy and removed it instead of fixing the rendering. (That, or the restauration attempt is still not perfect)
either way, we’re close to restoring crazy taxi as close to the DC as possible.
