#throwbackthursday another one of my #cardboard pieces. I’ve had people ask me how I can, or why I would, put so much effort into something painted on such ‘low’ material. Woell, I’ve gone stretches where proper canvas or board was out of my price range, and no one was buying what I made anyway. I painted this for me, with no expectation that it would ever be worth anything to anyone else; like so much art by unknown painters, this piece will probably end up at the dump once I’m gone. Cardboard is ephemeral and temporary, just like me, just like my work. Why NOT paint on cardboard?
