Kobe’s Kitano-cho is well known for the old Western-style mansions that dot the district. The steep, narrow streets are also home to some plush properties that enjoy impressive views of the city and bay far below. But, for reasons not entirely clear, the area also has a surprising number of abandoned properties, some of which are shown here.
