The 1780s style stays I made last year — a garment I thought I would never be able to make, but on a whim decided to buy the @redthreaded pattern anyway. It has seen some wear already as I tried to correct my badly slouching posture with it, but for that I would need to add a layer of buckram and a stomacher surely as the boning started to bend. The pressure on my ribs calms me.
