Echo helmet process

I started with a silver base coat, and then proceeded to add layers of Montana Gold paint. While the paint was still tacky, I used balls of tape to chip off parts of the top coat, and used strips of paint to tear off edges to reveal the silver underneath.

The final steps were to give it a wash of watered down mixed black and brown acrylic paint, and using a chrome pen to add very fine stratches to the surface.

Then I sealed it with a clear matte spray. And that’s it!

I probably won’t do the full suit, but it’s on my wish list. Cheers!
