I feel like this could potentially foreshadow Gigantamax Eevee (like Ash’s Pikachu), but seeing how Eevee deciding what it wants to evolve into was the focus of its arc, I feel it not evolving into something, potentially even a new Eeveelution, would be a bit of a waste. That said, Gigantamax would be an alright compromise.
