“This is a symbol. Something that was once magical, full of hope, possibility… Now look at it. Dried up, dead, useless.”

i. Life - With Milah he was full of hope a possibility his life was just starting out with, traveling the worlds, going on adventures.

ii. Death - When Milah was murdered Killian also essentially died, he left Killian Jones behind a put on the mask of Hook. Shutting himself off and sinking into the darkness, focusing his life on revenge and hatred.

iii. Rebirth - Coming back with the bean, realizing there’s more to life then revenge, wanting more out of his life then revenge and the ups and downs of that journey (because lbr he’s probably gonna try to kill rumple in neverland)
