I know everyone just wants to relax during the summer, but you shouldn’t just let those 3-4 months waste away! Stay productive and you will thank yourself in the fall. Here are some ways to stay productive and continue challenging yourself in the summer!
- Practice a foreign language - If you’re already studying a foreign language, use this time to practice! It takes a lot of effort to learn a language, and you can’t slack off in the summer.
- Do a reading challenge - This summer I’m going to be doing a small chunk of the Gilmore Girls reading challenge. Summer is a great time to read some great books and help yourself become a well-read person.
- Preview your fall classes - Get ahead! If you know what textbooks you’re using in the fall, start reading them! Read up about your classes online and get ahead so that you can put yourself in the best position possible for the fall.
- Apply for scholarships - College isn’t cheap! Now that you have some free time to write some scholarship essays, try to get yourself some money!
- Practice writing - Writing can be fun in the right context. Do some writing challenges to keep yourself from getting rusty!
- Watch some educational stuff-
- Start a bullet journal - Bullet journals are the best way to get organized in my opinion, and once you start, it becomes a part of your life. If you start journaling now, you’ll be incredibly prepared for the next semester!
