3 years ago, I left Australia to start a new journey. I spent 6 months travelling all around Europe, before arriving in Berlin and started a new life here. I can’t believe it’s been three years now!

It’s been a very interesting adventure. Some fantastic experiences, and some very difficult times. I knew starting all over again would be really difficult. Leaving my friends, family and puppy behind has been extremely difficult. It’s no secret that I really struggle at times. Especially since losing my job earlier this year. And then the virus happened, and the lock down. The past few years has reminded me I need to work on my mental wellness as well as my physical wellness. Sometimes you feel very alone and don’t have the same support network you do back home. Through friends and family, also navigating the mental health support in a foreign country is very difficult.

I can’t believe I haven’t been home in three years. I hope to visit again soon once it’s allowed to travel.

Also, sorry for the bad airplane toilet selfie. My old camera was horrible.
