A fabric fragment and lace from a dress worn by Marie Antoinette while imprisoned at the Temple in Paris. The fragments are traced back to the duchesse de Tourzel, the last governess of the children of France, who was briefly imprisoned with the royal family at the Temple in 1792. Auctioned at Sotheby’s in June 2021.
