What she said. ➡️ Reposted from @emmybarr5 This is about racism. And I know these two incidents are very different. However, for me this speaks to the fact that the child, Tamir, was shot and killed without ever considering whether he was a lethal threat. He was a black boy with a toy gun and therefore a threat. While a white young man with a real gun pulling a trigger with intent to cause harm, an actual threat, is given a trial, is set free and is now set for life. I’m sorry to everyone who had to listen to this today and felt traumatized, discouraged and afraid.
