Ingenious indeed.  I may have to contemplate this.

He’d really outdone himself this time. It was ingenious enough that she wondered if it was the entire point of the holiday. It’s not like she could’ve seen it coming. As soon as she saw the fact the resort had beaches and a Michelin Star, her brain shut down. 

Her hand wandered down, against her stomach, where it showed up so very obviously. God it was cruel, to put her in this situation. Avoid sunbathing, or be constantly blushing. He’d grinned when he did it, sent her off to the beach with a swat to her rear. She’d had to find the quietest corner, a good ten minute walk from the entrance. 

After a few minutes she’d all but forgotten about it, a good book in her hand, and the heat of the sun against her body. It was wonderfully distracting, and the kind of quiet that she wasn’t really used to. He was usually there, and when he wasn’t she was at work.

But it was on her way back, a few hours later, that she realised quite how obvious it was. Her fingers traced over it again, and her cheeks flushed with the colour that he’d denied her. 

Just underneath her navel, three little letters, hidden from the sun by the highest factor sunblock he could find.
