Timehop, a smartphone application that collects the user’s old photos and posts for the purposes of reminding the user of past experiences, uses its mascot, Abe the Dino, for a variety of promotional artwork. The artwork inserts the mascot into pre-existing pictures while attempting to emulate the art style of those pictures as closely as possible.

In 2019, one of the promotional images was based on Super Mario Galaxy, which featured the mascot replacing the Luma on the game’s cover art.
