A paperclip can be a wondrous thing. More times than I can remember, one of these has gotten me out of a tight spot. 

Len’s eyes darted off towards the side before he made himself look back at Barry, “The last thing I need is your death on my conscience,” his voice started to crack before he swallowed around the lump trying to form, “It’d kill me.”

Barry felt himself jerk back as if struck by Len’s words.

“Don’t do that to me,” Len continued, trying to keep the image of Barry dying from taking root in his mind.
